Staff in front of house - in particular Gaiska (a trainee) was superb. Thank you Gaiska for bringing whatever we needed to our room. However food in restaurant for dinner was awful. This is what meant a 4 star over 5. Skip the buffet and have dinner in Tekapo. The cafe food is great if you can wait till 1030am. Views are out of this world from room. Definitely book premium room.

What a cool hotel! Funky retro style, the views of Mt Cook & surrounding scenery are unbelievable!! We were in the older part of the hotel but it was fine. Next time I’d probably go for the Premium Plus rooms in the bigger tower for the unobstructed views
