We stayed for 3 nights to look around the Seward area. This hotel is older and a little run down but the room was clean. We were there before it was really even opened for the season. The owner was responsive when we phoned to find out how the check in process worked. The owner was very friendly to talk to which is what we prefer. Not fans of the ghost owners most of the properties we stayed in on this 15 day trip. The town where this hotel is was not much of anything, just a couple buildings. We would stay again if our itinerary worked for it.

Rundown place with no amenities, and yet there is no effort to compensate with service. Booked the lodge, told I was actually in a bare bones "motel" across the street. Despite being mostly empty, they put me in a room next to another guest-- for their convenience I suspect-- but the thin walls meant being awakened when they arose at four a.m.
