Johnshaven is a quaint little village on the North East Coast of Scotland, approx a 15-minute drive from both Stonehaven and Montrose. Famous for both fishing and its harbour, it is a beautiful place to relax and enjoy a coffee, whilst taking in the magnificent views.
The yearly Johnshaven Fish Festival is a popular event which is a celebration of the villages place in the local maritime history. The Johnshaven Heritage Museum is certainly also worth a visit. Once you have explored the local seafront, then you can venture further afield to Dunnottar Castle, which is around 12 miles away. Be sure to stop in Catterline for a spot of rockpooling or a bite to eat in the local inn.
Both Aberdeen and Dundee are within 1 hours drive. Beach 100 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.

Nice house with good views of the sea.
If you enjoy being close to the sea this property is ideal. There are good views especially from the garden. The house is comfortable and warm. The owners are very responsive and have provided for most needs. Johnshaven is a good base from which to explore this stretch of coast but equally there is enough in the village that you wouldn't have to stray far.
