One open room combines the bedroom and living area with a comfortable bed and sofa (non-convertible), suitable for up to three guests. The studio has a beautiful bathroom and a modern kitchen. No lake view, but plenty of natural light. Guests have access to a shared terrace nearby. Please note that occasional spiders may appear — part of the castle’s authentic character.

Celebration of 50th wedding anniversary

We have been travelling withVRBO for many years. The Chateau is one of our two best spots to have used. The other great spot was in Lucca Italy.

Montreux castle experience

Overall, our stay was wonderful. The castle was beautiful and the views were breathtaking. However, there was definitely a lack of communication with the property manager. I had reached out months in advance (and multiple times) to request arriving one day later and also messaged to ask about information on the train system to actually get to the castle, with no response. I was only messaged with check-in information about a week before our trip, which was very detailed, but my request or questions were never answered.
