The service and property were absolutely terrible. Arrived at the room and there were dark brown stains on the bed frame and ottoman. Mould in the washroom on the grout, and hair on the bed. Dead bugs on the ground and stains on the blinds. Went to reception to request a refund so we could check out immediately, explaining we were there for mourning and did not want to stay there due to the poor condition. The manager argued and rebutted the condition of the room, stating she couldn’t do anything but change the room. The new room was larger, but still had dead insects, and dirty curtains, hair on the mattress and stains in the toilet. We offered to pay for the first night, requesting a refund for the rest. However no remorse, accountability or empathy was shown at all for the state of the property. It’s located in a rough area, tents are set up outside and people clearly under the influence of substances are camped out right outside. Absolutely disgusting.

The room and the common area are both super clean. The staff was very friendly. The best part is that you have many food options near Chinatown and downtown Montreal. This hotel is also dog-friendly. The only thing that was inconvenient was that it only had one elevator.

The room was extremely small. Access closet, refrigerator, and amenity sink was cumbersome. Furniture was a low quality. The only positive thing was that the futon mattress was very comfortable.

I wasn't sure what to expect after reading several online reviews, but I can honestly say that our stay at Hotel Zero 1 was pretty good. Our family stayed on the 10th and 11th floors, which had a nice view of the city street below. Rooms weren't super fancy, but they were nice and clean and most importantly well air conditioned on the super hot days that we were staying. Bathroom showers are a bit of a tight fit so if your're a bigger person expect to bump your elbows in the shower a bit. There is only one elevator available for the entire hotel so you'll definitely need to pack your patience, especially if your room is located on the upper floors. Staff were friendly and responded quickly to any requests that we made (If you need your room cleaned, i would advise to make the request to front reception directly. We put a sign out requesting for the room to be cleaned, but when we came back our room was still the same way we left it 😆). The breakfast buffet offered was simple, but good. Breakfast included eggs, sausage/ham, croissant/toast,, assorted cereals and fruits, etc.. The hotel is within walking distance to many different sightseeing sites, shopping areas, restaurants and conveniently right across the street from China Town. All in all, I would stay here again on my next visit.

Not worth the money.

The location of the hotel is convenient. However, the service is not there. They don’t clean the room or refill any supplies nor did they change towels. All these services I was told needed to be requested. I asked for a shower cap and the staff said he never heard of such a thing! The shower space is very small.

Totally fine!

The hotel was in a great location with a convenience store attached which was awesome after a long day. The reviews seemed pretty mixed so I was a bit worried about staying here but overall it was totally fine! There were a few things like only having two towels and two coffee pods in a room with 2 queen beds was a bit weird. We had housekeeping come by once during our 4 night stay which was fine with us. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Our first night the room was pretty hot at night and it seemed our AC was off but the other three nights were fine and the AC seemed to work. We think maybe the hotel turns off the central AC if the weather isn't too hot (it was 23C outside the night our AC didn't work). Overall it was a fine stay and the price was good! Based on the reviews maybe the hotel is a bit inconsistent room by room we were on the 12th floor.

No parking available at the hotel. Guests are directed to a public parking garage and pay at their own expense. This garage does not accommodate anything bigger then a car. Guests are left on their own to find parking. Ended up paying $60.00 for parking. Would like to have a credit considering the $22.00 per room valet credit offered at time of booking was not honored

Unfortunately, we found the front desk staff unfriendly and not at all welcoming. It was just a weird vibe, like we were an inconvenience. The lobby felt somewhat run down (carpet especially.) The A/C in our room couldn’t keep up with the heatwave, so they did give us a fan which helped and we ran continuously while in our room. Loved having a kitchenette and a large bench to hold two small suitcases. Location is great— easy walk to Chinatown and Old Port, as well as St Catherine Street with lots of eating and shopping.
