Lovely spot outside of town

Well-appointed & lovely inside. The reason there are no outside pics is because it's not a particularly attractive metal building, but it's perfectly fine. Great rural spot with wonderful views from the deck. I somehow missed there wasn't A/C. It cooled off fine at night, but without window screens, my wife wasn't comfortable leaving the windows open all night. The vehicles already parked there left no room to turn your vehicle around and come back down the steep drive, but Evelyn was very accommodating & responsive. The fresh fruit & flowers were a lovely touch.

Monteverde Visit

This property is exactly as advertised in the pictures. It is small and cozy for 2 people. It is well appointed and the views are to die for. The owner's assistant was staying on property and was very friendly and helpful. One suggestion, have some patio furniture with out cushions that dries quickly after rain storms. All the cushions remained wet so we couldn't sit outside. We would recommend it for a short stay!! Pura Vida!!

Excellent private location with great view

Thanks for the great stay! Definitely found the home to be comfortable. We enjoyed the view and the frequent check-ins by the family dog! Certainly would recommend to friends.

Authentic Scenic Location

Gorgeous scenic views! We enjoyed the deck every night as the sun set. Valeria was wonderful to talk to and gave us suggestions. Her 2 dogs were a sweet comfort as we missed our own dogs back at home. Great option for wondering travellers!

WONDERFUL!!

This was our first trip to Costa Rica and might I add it was delightful! Staying at Evelyn's property was the best decision ever. The host "Lara" was very informative and helpful and catered to our needs. The property was extremely clean and the view was GORGEOUS! The privacy and location were perfect in terms of traveling in and out of town. I would most definitely choose this location again without a second thought. Thank you so much for the best trip/stay ever! Until we return, PURA VIDA !!

Quiet location we a nice view of the valley.

Evelyn was very accommodating and as nice as could be. The house is small but has all the amenities needed for two. It was very clean with very few bugs. The bed was fine and provided a decent sleep. We have no problems cooking as all the utilities were included and the market was a short drive away. The toilet did make a weird gurgle on occasion. On demand hot water was good and the shower was big enough for 2 people. You will likely need a 4x4 to get up the short hill to the house (40ft?). Otherwise you can park on the gated property and take the short walk. It is a short 15-20 minute drive to the reserves and all the amenities of town. The farm had a small bull named Rueben and a few dogs.

Lovely space, exactly as pictured.

This is a lovely place, the way it's decorated and laid out is great. Kitchen is well appointed, beddings are nice, towels are nice, couch is nice and when the outside deck is complete that will be a great place to hang out too. If you are an animal lover you'll love this place, lots of friendly dogs and a young cow named Rubin. Now for the constructive feedback, we had a hard time finding it using Google maps. The host said search for Casa Romantica and Google maps does locate it, but it tells you arrived and you're looking at a hillside with no indication of an entry. The actual entry is a dirt road going up to the property about 100m further down the road and there are no markings. You need to go up that dirt road and follow it to the big black gates. Also, the unit itself sits up on a hill and you'll need 4 wheel drive to get up that ramp. I'm glad we had 4wd and would not rent a car in Costa Rica without it. I feel there needs to be some sort of signage placed at that driveway to help travelers find the property. Once we found it, we loved it and I would definitely stay here again but it was a challenge finding it the first night.
