Unique room my husband loved the fireplace in December is perfect time for warmth. My husband and I love the breakfast. Saturdays was extra special. They had bacon and sausage, scrambled eggs and all the other things we love that it was pet friendly great location too we could walk to many places and yes, the staff was very friendly and helpful.

A couple key complaints as these were significant reasons that I chose this hotel over other options. First, guaranteed parking is not free or included as the Travelocity listing says. Instead, limited street parking is free on Sundays and after 6pm. The evening I checked in, I got the last street parking spot and it was pretty early. If you can’t find street parking, it is $22/night. Weekday breakfast is pretty pitiful and the online breakfast photos and description is very misleading. I was told that weekends are better but I was there on a Monday morning. Check-in was easy, but I had to push back about the parking situation before I was told about street parking. The room was comfortable but the property itself could use some attention.

The room was beautiful and spacious. The bed was very comfy. The staff were friendly and I was able to check in a few hours early. The only downside was the elevator was not functioning. It was a great stay, and it is in a convenient location. I would stay here again!

The hotel was not bad but very very loud, not soundproof at all, we literally couldn’t sleep well at night because of the upstairs guests were extremely loud at 2am in the morning. Staffs were good, breakfast was delicious and room was nice just really loud because you could hear all the noises from outside. If you want to rest peacefully, maybe look for another place.

Loved having a fireplace in the room. Walls are thin could hear the people above me. Bed was comfy 1/2 the pillows were comfy. No ac but we didn't need it. Loved that there was a tub for the kids. Older hotel but has some charm. Very walkable to a ton of food options and the pier. Felt safe. Parking on site although you have to pay.

Very clean! Overall a lovely place for a great price! A few things got us off on the wrong foot- when we arrived (atfer 4:00) the carpet in our room was wet. Apparently they had just shampooed it, which is awesome, but like still wet. They offered to move us but I was exhausted after lugging everything up with 2 kids, and a super clumsy luggage cart that couldn't turn corners, so instead we just turned on the fan and opened the balcony door. It dried eventually. The breakfast was nice, for being free. Pretty standard- bagels, cereal, juice... which is great! But both mornings, there was ONE woman working. Keeping it stocked, cleaning tables, washing dishes. It's an unreasonable amount of work for that one poor woman. She did an amazing job but people kept having to ask for things, like bowls for the cereal. She just couldn't keep up. There were a few minor annoyances like that, but again- really great value. The room was huge and clean, with a cozy fireplace. Not at all soundproof unfortunately, but the beds were comfy and it was overall a pleasant stay.

We were not even notified that these features are not working and no help was provided to move the luggage when there is no elevator. The location of Hotel Pacific is hard to beat. The proximity to Fisherman’s Wharf and Alvarado Street is fantastic, and it’s a half hour walk to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The architecture of the property is wonderful, with a Spanish flair, but there is some deferred maintenance. Our two bed suite was more updated, clean, lovely and large. We were on the top floor so we had a vaulted ceiling, and the gas fire place adds wonderful ambiance. The breakfast does not include any hot food, and is mainly bagels, muffins, yogurt, etc, but it’s not why we like staying there. This is our 3rd time staying at the property, and we would be happy to stay again.
