Mike and the staff do an excellent job maintaining the property and providing great customer service. We chose Aura Inn because of its location that made it easy to drive to our vacation destinations, Whole Foods and other convenience stores nearby, and because of high reviews I read on Expedia. We happily echo the Expedia reviews and are impressed with how clean and spacious our room was and how easy parking was. We appreciate that parking was included, at no extra charge, and how even late at night, there were parking spaces available, with an easy walk to our room. Our beds were very comfortable and the rooms are indeed sound proof, as described in the property details, making our sleep comfortable and peaceful. Check-in and check-out are easy. We hope to stay in Aura Inn again during a return trip to Carmel and Monterey!

We have stayed at many different hotels in Monterey but Aura Inn had to be the best one yet with service, staff, room, and overall experience. I would highly recommend this hotel. I can NOT stand the smell of smoke or cigarette and the hotel was non smoking rooms. We got a room with 2 king beds and it was perfect for my family. Definitely would stay here again.

Got the job done and very comfortable

Our room was clean and up-to-date. I really like the restroom in the mirror as it was an LED touchscreen mirror. I didn’t like the fact that I had to call them to tell them to change my sheets and come clean the room. Apparently they don’t clean it unless you request it.

Great stay at great price

Room was large & clean. Bed was comfortable (but high). Friends liked the art work. We called to let them know we'd arrive late. They told us to ring the buzzer since the lobby will be locked. We arrived, the front desk person came out to check us in & was super friendly & helpful. FYI, vending machine is cash only, no credit cards.
