Not even water was provided. My room had nothing — no fridge, no kettle, no coffee… it was literally just a bed and a toilet. Meanwhile, all the nearby resorts offer all-inclusive amenities. Makes you wonder if saving a few dollars by staying at Toby’s is really worth it

Stayed for one night and the team where very accommodating, we asked if something could be prepared fot us to eat on arrival as we would be coming from a 10 hor flight and arriving once the restaurant closed and they prepared us a lovely book dinner that was warmed and bought to us. The staff is the best part of Toby’s Resort : lovely, friendly and helpful. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The restaurant has very good local food at reasonable prices. The hotel itself is dated and rundown, but the staff keeps it very clean. Linens are nice and everything in our room worked well. It’s quite noisy due to street traffic and music blasting from the neighborhood and we had an outside light shining into our room all night because the curtains are so sheer so not great for a restful sleep. We also had to keep the AC on all night which we prefer not to do as there are no screens on the veranda doors and our room (#54) and that end of the building was baking hot. We felt very safe at Toby’s:)
