We really enjoyed our stay at the Grand Decameron Cornwall. The room/hotel/food were pretty basic which is what we expected for the price point. The hotel was very clean and our needs were met. There were a few staff members at the front desk that were a little frustrating to deal with. It seemed like there was a lack of training or communication with other staff members. We didn’t get our room until 5pm when it was promised for 3pm and a la carte reservations seemed complicated for some of them. Aside from that, the beach was great. We had hot water in the shower. The balcony view was awesome. We enjoyed the food (basic but good quality). Two of our three nights we found and enjoyed the evening entertainment. It was tricky to get information for shows or dining but that’s fine, the place is small. I would recommend this hotel and I’d go back!

bad service since we arrived.my room was supposed to be ready at 3pm and they gave it to me at almost 7pm and that's because i demanded it. there was always a problem with booking for nithg dinner.the receptionists in one building contradicted each other.theyt didn't have the same information,they always said there wasn't any and the two times they gave it to me in 7 days i was there,they never had the food that the menu offered.the people were rude and super lazy.the ones in the kayakig area were even lazier they never wanted to give me a ride on windsurfing they always made up an excuses not to. they never left me water in my room ,they only changed the towels once.it was a disastrous vacations,figthing with the staff all the time because of their lack of professionalism

Rooms n corridors needs better cleaning, need plugs at better area in the rooms for phone charging , needs whiter cleaner towels, they are dingy rough and brown , they do not provide wash rags which is absurd , phones by the bedside are dirty, great location and within walking distance to the downtown area, ran out of food with no replenishment even tho people were checking in quite regularly, front desk people do not smile and b welcoming, find a way to keep flys away from the food….needs better prepared food at the grill area …. A plus is beautiful view from balcony …. Needs more entertainment have to walk to sister hotel for activities, needs a manager on site for any issues we may have . Long corridor walk to rooms not safe… only few cameras are installed…. But surprisingly I visit every year cas I love my country n want to see if improvements have been made… rooms are never ready until 5 pm or later so pls book a late flight, lobby needs better furniture n decor. Should have an incentive package for those visiting very often…

Great family vacation

My stay was fabulous the entire family loved it. I had a little issue with my booking from hotel.com. Dwayne the manager was patient and courteous. Sean was alway Nice friendly , cleanliness was on point.food was good, entertainment was ok. my entire stay was great my adult children love every minutes of their stay. We will be back!!

The hotel didn’t have hot water for 3 days and there was no amenities in the bathroom. Every time I called front desk to send someone for help with the issue nobody answered and when I told them nobody comes to help. The room had no face towel mat towel and no hand towel, only 2 bath towel. The food wasn’t that good.

Property was clean and relaxing well kept. The bedroom and bath needed to be updated. AC could not be adjusted to get a better temperature in the room. Turn off AC and the hole room stray sweating and dripping water from the ceiling onto the bed.

This property leaves a lot to be desired. The bathroom was not cleaned properly. The towels looks grey even though they were supposed to be white. No iron in the room and I requested an iron and never received it. There were mixed reviews on front desk personnel. They first gives you the face of the stressed out employee before they give you a smile. The food flat out stinks. I vomittec one of my meal. The massage therapist was the only shining star at that facility. I will Bieber go back.

I didn't give a perfect score because of the inconsistency of the food. Some times it's good, next time, not. ALL THAT SAID, I WOULD LIKE TO SAY THANKS TO DINING SUPERVISOR, Karla Deen Kelly, and the two most polite workers, Nora Stewart and Tevin Allen. The property is an older build, it definitely does not live up to the property photos on expedia. Our room’s smoke detector was broken and missing. Also, the room did not have a deadbolt. I had to go down to reception to personally request an installation of a deadbolt. The bed had only 1 top sheet. I requested for a blanket or another sheet and it never arrived. On our first night there, there was a cockroach in the room. The bathroom smelled like sewer even immediately after cleaners or room service came. We wanted to checkout but we would not be refunded any unused nights if we did. The only good thing about the property was the variety of food they served in the buffet. I feel it’s a waste of money staying there, and I definitely would not recommend it to anyone.
