If you are looking for the best place to enjoy the mountain fresh air of southern Colorado, then look no further than Mountain Wolf Lodge. Located at the base of the San Juan Mountains, and less than an hour drive to the Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve, and Wolf Creek Ski Area, this lodge has everything you need to enjoy your time in Colorado. Whether it is skiing, mountain biking, hiking, hunting or fishing, The Lodge is set up to meet your needs. If your Colorado adventure is more low-key, no problem. The Mountain Wolf Lodge has everything you need to get a little R&R in a stress-free enviornment. With plenty of furnishings to relax in, books to read, and other entertainment, you could enjoy your time in Colorado without even having to step outside. Although we most certainly recommend seeing the local area!

The Mountain Wolf Lodge sleeps 6-8 so the whole family can come and enjoy the beautiful scenery this state has to offer. The house was clean, cozy and perfect for my family of 8. The location is right in the middle of all the spots we go to. Will definitely be booking here again.

Nice home in monte vista
The good: the home is lovely. Clean, comfortable, easy check in, very nice updated house. The could be better: there is no hot tub which is advertised. There is a jacuzzi tub in the upstairs bathroom, this is NOT the same as a hot tub. It is right on highway 160 so there is traffic noise. They only have off street parking even though there is a driveway it is locked. This home is clearly not managed by the owners. The manager told us we could use the driveway as we had some concerns about our cars being on the street (which after spending 10 days here we realized wasn’t as big of a deal as it seemed when we arrived) but then the driveway was padlocked and we weren’t given any way to open that. We were also told that trash goes out Wednesday morning and there is a bin for it, which we were happy to accommodate, however there was no actual trash bin to put the trash in and bring to the curb. Overall this is a very nice home and was comfortable. WiFi worked well, kitchen was very functional, they provide olive oil, salt, and pepper. There is maybe a disconnect between the owners and manager but if they can iron this out it will be 5 stars all around!!

We enjoyed our stay here and this well appointed house. Super well stocked kitchen and baths with a very responsive owner! You do get some traffic noise as it is situated on the main street of town.
