We missed flights due to illness. Tried to reschedule new dates through Expedia to stay at the property in springtime. No reply - only that computers went down. My friends stayed; they enjoyed their rooms and good times were had…. Not so much for me … No reply from management and even after many attempts from Expedia, room was cancelled but no refunds at all! No courtesy to change dates … I had to eat the cost and believe it or not, I’m a bonvoy member ! No love from Marriott at all!

⭐ 1-Star Review: Left Immediately — Filthy, Outdated, and Not Worth the Cost We had booked the Riviera Marriott in Monaco expecting a quality stay, but we ended up leaving without even spending the night. The room was filthy, with musty air, stained carpets, cracked tiles, and walls full of scuffs and dings. The bed had springs sticking out, and everything felt neglected and unsanitary. The lobby carpets were just as dirty, and no staff greeted us on arrival — they were cold and unwelcoming, with no concierge service in sight. To make matters worse, when we decided to leave due to the unacceptable conditions, the hotel refused to offer a refund. The area around the hotel is also quite inconvenient — there are no real amenities nearby, just a small, outdated mall, and you’ll need to take a cab just to get anywhere decent, which becomes very expensive very quickly. This is not the standard you’d expect from a Marriott — or any hotel in Monaco, frankly. Avoid this property entirely unless major renovations and management changes are made.

Great location! Our room was sea view facing and was spacious and well lit. There are regular bus connections into the city 24hrs a day. The staff are helpful and supportive. I would highly recommend this hotel for its excellent value for money in a very expensive city. I was disappointed by the breakfast offering though. There was a large spread but it was of poor quality. Many cups and plates were unclean, the food quality was poor and the coffee machines were installed with milk powder instead of milk so I ended up having the wierdest tasting latte machiatto, ever.
