I really liked the decorum of the commons area, which includes the dining room and the area around the check in desk. My suit was clean and cozy. Only thing missing was a freezer. The pool area had a fully functioning jacuzzi that heated up to a high temperature, which I enjoy. No license plate information required to park there. And best of all, its within walking distance of Chili’s and several other restaurants. Highly convenient location!

I recently stayed at Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Barstow by IHG on my way back from Vegas, and unfortunately, the experience was far from pleasant. This property really needs major improvements. The carpet in the room had an unpleasant smell, which was the first red flag. We had booked a room with two queen beds, and after a long, tiring drive, we checked in around 9:30 PM. Once we settled in and unpacked, we realized that the washbasin sink wasn’t draining at all. I reported it to the front desk, and the staff member came to inspect it, but she couldn’t fix the issue. She also mentioned that the hotel was fully booked and didn’t have another room with two queen beds available. The only option she could offer was a room with one king bed and a sofa. Since it was already late—around 10 PM—we had no choice but to accept it and move all our things to the new room. The night was okay, but in the morning, a similar problem happened again, this time with the toilet not working. Imagine not being able to use the toilet in your own room! We had to use the public restroom in the hotel instead, which was extremely inconvenient. At checkout, I shared the feedback with the front desk. The response was very casual—just an apology and a comment that she would let management know. It didn’t feel like they took the issue seriously. Overall, I would not recommend staying at this hotel if you want a comfortable or smooth experience. There are definitely better options in the area.

Safe spot right off the highway. Clean and quiet. Beds were comfy and clean and easy to get in and out of. Had stayed night before in hotel where the beds were very high off the ground. They had a luggage trolly we used which is a huge convenience. Breakfasts included in fee, from 6am to 9am. It had a nice variety of breakfast items and was fun to suprise my husband with cherry topping and whipped cream on his waffle. Will stay again if need be.
