This fantastic 3* rated character house offers spacious accommodation for families or groups of friends. With private gardens, outdoor solar heated pool (seasonal) and hot tub. A great place to relax and unwind with family and friends.

The house is over 150 years old and has many original features such as oak beamed ceilings and a wood burning fireplace. Situated in the heart of Brittany the farmhouse is located in a rural and peaceful country setting, ideal for walking and cycling.

2 villages within 4km with a bank, bars, bakery, small supermarket and chemist. The larger towns of Josselin -4 fleur rated- and Ploermel are within a 15 to 20 minute drive.

6 very large bedrooms (all en-suite), comprising 2 with a double bed and 2 singles, 3 with a king-size bed and 1 single and 1 with a king-size bed.

All bed linen included. Hand towels only provided.

A very spacious lounge with seating with several 3 seater and 2 seater settees, 40” flat screen TV, ( French) DVD player and Hi Fi system. WIFI.

Magnificent Dining /Bar area with 2 x 6 seater dining tables. Purpose built bar area with pool table and fridges for your wine and beer. A piano for guest use and 2 well stocked book cases.

A fully functional farmhouse kitchen incorporating large 5 burner range cooker, dishwasher, washing machine. fridge freezer and separate fridge, kettle, 4 slice toaster, filter coffee maker, dining table with 6 chairs and a bench seat. Plenty of Crockery, cutlery etc.

Large Games Room and dedicated Internet Lounge.
The internet lounge has a cosy settee and chairs along with a well stocked book case for a quiet relaxing area. The internet room links onto the games room.

Relaxing Family Holiday

Very nice property with all the facilities we required for an enjoyable family holiday. The pool, hot tub & large garden areas were all well used by all of us. Inside, the property is very spacious with plenty of games/books if required. The bar area with the pool table was the focal point in the evenings with plenty of fun competition to be crowned champion. All in all would certainly recommend for an extended family holiday.

lovely property

We had 2 weeks staying at the Old Farmhouse. Our family of 13 found it very spacious with lots to entertain us in and outside the house.The pool and hot tub were a delight, The bedrooms accommodated us very well, the 2 downstairs ones were good for the little ones as they didn't then have to climb the stairs. We found lots to do in the area, the children loved Kingoland and the dragon in Ploermel. We visited the Resistance Museum, Dinan, Damgan (lovely beach), lac au duc (again a lovely beach and walk around the lake) and various markets. Gina and Steve were very helpful and friendly, with advice on local areas and places to eat. Thank you so much.

Family holiday in France

The old farmhouse is a beautiful property in a beautiful location and we would definitely recommend it to others. It is very well located for exploring the south of Brittany and there many interesting and beautiful places a short drive away. The house itself has everything you need and we loved having an en-suite bathroom for every bedroom. The garden is large and sunny and the pool and hot tub are a real draw. We would love to stay there again. Gina and Steve are very welcoming and can’t do enough to help you make the most of your holiday. Thank you!

Great multi family holiday

Thank you for a wonderful stay at the old farmhouse. We were four families with seven children under seven and found the house size and space perfect for our needs. Phil and Jenny gave us some great tips for outings which all worked really well, the lake and bouncy castle park, Kingoland and Josselin were all great and we sat tripped to Carnac also. The house and kitchen are well equipped and there was plenty of space for the children to play inside and out, the games room went down very well. The staircases are quite steep but the children managed them fine after instruction (we didn’t have tiny toddlers with us). The pool was a bit chilly but did improve as the weather warmed up. Jenny’s massages were a wonderful addition. We had an amazing holiday and the property worked really well for us. Thank you

Great property, great location, it all we needed for the 6 couples that went. Loved it all.

The Old Farmhouse is a truly lovely place to spend a holiday. There were 12 of us from Kent, none of us young, but we all thoroughly enjoyed the house and its facilities such as all 6 en Suite bedrooms, lovely dining area and bar, lounge, and kitchen. The WiFi and games area are also lovely. The pool though chilly was clean and needed as was the hot tub. The Brittany area is worth visiting, a great landscape. Finally, we have to mention the owners, Phil and Jenny, a really lovely couple. They were always on hand if needed, cleaned the pool etc daily, friendly, chatty , offered advice and even joined us one evening. A hearty big thank you to them, they have a truly lovely place.

Good accommodation and facilities for a party of 15 (9 adults and 6 children)

We had a lovely holiday at The Old Farmhouse. The layout of the house works well for multiple families and there is plenty of space to play outside and inside with the games room, bar area, gardens and paddocks. The house is well equipped- we found it easy to eat in and enjoyed making use of the BBQ when the weather allowed! Unfortunately the very British weather meant the pool was very cold and with children ranging from 18 months to 6 years old we didn’t manage to use it as much as we would like. The adults made good use of the hot tub but were a little confused about whether the kids could use it as it said no under 14s but in the guest book others had referenced children using it. Finally the WiFi was poor- I think this could be marketed more clearly as it states WiFi but in today’s world where the children and adults rely on it, it would be good to have full access to the internet rather than just in the games room which wasn’t always practical. As I’ve mentioned this could just be made clearer upon booking. All in all a nice property that might benefit from pool heating and WiFi to encourage future visits.

A well equipped house with lots to offer

We were three families (6 adults) and currently have a total of 4 small children. The house in rural Brittany around a 5-minute drive to Mohon and about a 20-minute drive to the nearest ‘larger’ town. There is a near neighbor across the fence from the pool. The house is very large & the six rooms are split into three lots of two. This meant our small children could be far enough away from each other not to wake each other, and also gave us our own space. The communal spaces were very large, certainly for a party of our size, and could easily accommodate a few more. The house and garden are both very well equipped. We cooked and ate nearly all our meals in the house and didn’t come across anything we could have done with or had missed from home. The house is in good order, the beds are comfortable and the lounge, games room and bar are all great. Notes of caution Firstly, on arrival we were asked for £300 security deposit – this is to be expected from a holiday let, but it would have been helpful to have this clearer on the website or to have been reminded as part of the booking process. There is no ‘damages policy’ and so we were left unsure what would count as reasonable wear and tear and what might be charged for. Secondly, we had issues with the hot tub, despite its size only four people can use it at once for a maximum of 20 minutes at a time. Whilst we don’t own one ourselves, I’m assured this is unusual. Ideas of spending long evenings drinking cocktails in the hot tub were short lived. Having misunderstood the guidance on the first night, we felt sufficiently ‘warned’ by Jenny and Phil over the next couple of days that we stopped using it, feeling the joy had been slightly sucked from the experience. Thirdly it’s worth noting that the pool is lined rather than tiled and not heated and so it can be very cold. We visited in August and although we had some bad weather its temperature, even on hot sunny days, meant we rarely used the pool. Finally, don’t underestimate the impact of having Jenny and Phil on site. Whilst they were nice and did largely keep out the way, they would clean the pool and hot tub themselves, usually between 9 and 10 am. We all agreed that we felt like we had ‘mum and dad’ living next door, and were, perhaps, less able to let our hair down than we would have liked. We had a lovely time in this house and it does have a lot to offer, so provided you’re careful with the things above it makes a good destination.

Fabulous house

Fabulous house, clean and very well equipped. Games room great with young guests, weather lovely when we stayed so full use was made of the hot tub, unfortunately pool still a little cold although there were a few dips in it. Toddlers well catered for with little cars and trike its a great house to stay in with a group, only prob was that it is not near restaurants but there were 14 of us so able to entertain ourselves with a bbq, full use of the bar which has wine/beer fridges and also pool table. The bonus was each room has it's own bathroom a real plus. Couldn't recommend highly enough and hope to make a return visit sometime.

We booked the Old Farmhouse for a family get together. The accommodation was perfect for our needs, with communal areas for meals, etc., but with bedrooms in separate areas (three blocks) to ensure privacy. All bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms, which was also much appreciated. The kids enjoyed the games room and pool. The surrounding area had plenty of places to visit for kids and grandparents alike. And the hosts were very responsive if asked but respected our privacy. This all made for a fantastic holiday.

Grande maison avec tout ce qu’il faut pour cuisiner pour un grand nombre de personnes. Grands espaces pour se sentir a l’ause. Week end en famille. Chambres avec salle de bains et wc chacunes, ce qui est vraiment un plus. Enormément d'activités dans la maison, surtout grùce à la salle de jeux, piscine et jacuzzi notamment ! Domaine immense, au calme, propre, avec tout ce qu'il faut.
