Moelfre is a charming seaside village on the beautiful east coast of Anglesey, with quaint cottages, a picturesque port, a beach, stunning views of Snowdonia, a fully operational lifeboat, and not one but two excellent bars and eateries. The village is steeped in history, and in 1859, it was the scene of the tragic shipwreck of the Royal Charter. Benllech and Lligwy have beautiful sandy beaches, and nearby Red Wharf Bay is a sight to behold with its miles of open sands and teeming birdlife. An ideal base from which to explore the rest of this charming island and breathtaking Snowdonia.
