Beautiful room and convenient location. Breakfast is overcrowded and out of lots of items. Room location is weird having to walk through the housekeeping carts & laundry bags and down a side unmarked hallway

Great hotel

It's a beautiful property. The staff are friendly and helpful. We arrived after a cruise and we pleasantly surprised to be able to check right in. Location on Karl Johans Gate is so convenient for shopping and sightseeing.

The hotel is a 25 minute train ride from Oslo Airport and a 10 minute walk from the train station. It’s in the center of everything. Great roof top bar. This is where Il stay whenever I’m in Oslo.

Perfect Location and Old World Charm

What a fantastic experience. Old world culture in a well maintained and updated in the right places building. The location could not be beat. Close to all attractions and walking distance to great restaurants. Highly recommend this hotel for a real Oslo experience!

Don’t recommend for families

You know it’s a lovely hotel but I wouldn’t recommend it for a family at all. We stayed for a night after a ski trip before our flight back late the next day. The room itself was nice - we all watched a movie on a big TV (streaming), beds were comfy and the room was a good size. The view from the room was terrible - inward facing to air con units. The main entrance and shared areas are dark, uninviting and not very nice tbh. The worst problem though - I booked this hotel for our 14 and 10 year old to swim with us in the pool but they get 2h on one day at a set time and you have to pay for it! And also pay for all our breakfasts at a high price. I wouldn’t stay here again. Really unimpressed. And not worth the price tag I’m afraid.

Beautiful historic hotel, with renovated spacious bedrooms, very comfortable beds, walking distance to most of all major attractions and landmarks of the city. Fantastic restaurant (Palmen) and superb breakfast. All staff was very courteous and professional. An overall amazing experience.

The staff were incredibly attentive and helpful. The lobby bar and library were ideal for meetings over tea or drinks. The rooftop bar added another dimension. The food was fantastic. The room was spacious and beds very comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel to business travelers.
