Room/bathroom was filthy. Room smelled. Bugs in room and breakfast area. Loud outdoor trash pickup 2 of the 3 nights we were there (around 4:00A/5:00A both times). Extra towels requested were not delivered. Noticed that top part of every hallway light on our floor was broken. Didn’t affect our stay, but looked bad and implied very little or no maintenance. Almost no water pressure in shower. My wife could not even wash her hair. Wallpaper peeling off the wall in bathroom.

Shame on Hampton Inn

The check-in process went fine. The two people at the front desk were very professional and polite. My issue with the Hampton Inn in Fairhope Alabama is that this is a very exclusive town and when someone comes to stay there, they expect a more cared for an upscale accommodation. This facility needs to be kept cleaner at the best, if not completely remodeled. Quite frankly, Hampton Inn should be ashamed of the condition of this establishment. I definitely will not be recommending this to any of my friends. I also spoke to business owners in the community and they have heard it from other shoppers who are staying there as well. Also had I known you were going to request pictures I would gladly have taken some. I’m sure you would be quite surprised that some of the conditions that I saw. I stayed in room 217 if you’d like to go take pictures for yourselves.

Beautiful location, walkable to shop, dine and beach. The picture on my room reserved showed a balcony, when I arrived there was not a balcony room reserved for me or available. The night attendant was NOT helpful and pretty much said this is your room and you'll have to take up your issues with the people that are here in the morning...older guy, did not get his name. Grumpy fella. Otherwise everyone else while we were there were kind, helpful and we enjoyed our stay. Can't wait to come back.
