Amazing on site pool included at no charge & a spa/sana/hot pool facilitiy for a small charge all located inside the hotel. Grand Hyatt Fukuoka is a very nice hotel, it sit in between Hakata Station and Tenjin. Every night the street food vans start up about 5pm and they are just across the road. I that isn't your thing, there are plenty of Ramen restaurants in close proximity to the hotel. There are a number shrines and temples within walking distance. If you need good tourist information head down to the tourist information office at Tenjin, they have plenty of maps and sightseeing brochures. The hotel is adjacent to Canal City Shopping Centre.

This hotel had everything I needed

Great Japanese-style spa facilities equipped with lounge, large community-style hot bath, sauna, cold plunge, and steam room. Fitness room was pretty good for Japanese hotels with treadmills, bike machines, weight machines, and dumbbells.

The room is clean and quiet, yet a bit dated. Breakfast is excellent. Compare to the Hakata station, the Canal city is more quiet but still very accessible.
