Hi Friends!

We are super excited that you are considering renting our vacation home. We deeply believe in family and community and it is our goal is to make your vacation experience as rich and relaxing as possible. Our hope is that you will spend time sharing stories and having conversations on the back patio with the ones you love. (Don’t forget the bottle of wine!) A successful vacation in our opinion is one where relationships and families are strengthened as a result of staying at our home. We can’t wait to hear your story!

Our home, “Emerald Villa” is located in the gated community of Emerald Shores in Destin, Florida. We love Emerald Shores because it is one of most family friendly communities on the Emerald Coast and has a unique beach pavilion located directly on the sand with access to all guests. The community has 2 swimming pools (One seasonably heated), a basketball, tennis, and shuffleboard court that are easily accessible by the community sidewalks.

We love that the beach is just a short 7 minute walk away but after a long day in the sun or after a giant breakfast, we love catching the Emerald Shores Tram that will get you there in no time. (It is important to note that the tram only runs during the summer months.) If the beach isn’t your scene, you will enjoy being only 2 minutes from either swimming pool. Lounge chairs provided!

Our home has just one floor, which means no hauling luggage/groceries/babies up and down stairs. We enjoy the open floor plan which creates an environment suitable for game and movie nights after dinner! We also want to save you money on the rising cost of cell phone data so we included FREE WIFI in the house!

Here is a short description of all rooms in the house:

Master Bedroom: One KING size bed sleeping 2. There is a full bath including a jacuzzi and separate shower. The Master Bedroom has a full walk-in closet for clothing and luggage. It also features a 37” flat screen TV with DVD player.

Second Master Bedroom: The second Master Bedroom has a KING BED sleeping two. This room also has a 37” flat screen TV with DVD player. There is a full bath just outside this door.

Bunk Room: The third bedroom features two sets of bunk beds for the children! This room is adjacent to the second Master and located just outside the full bath. It has a 32” flat screen and Sleeps 4.

Living Room: The living room has a sectional couch and two reclining chairs. It also has a 37” HDTV with a DVD player and an IPOD dock stereo. It has a ceiling fan and a small desk in the corner. Also has sleeper sofa for additional sleeping!

Kitchen: The kitchen come fully equipped with all of the amenities you will need for your vacation. All dishes, cutlery, and appliances are provided. (Blender, toaster, coffee maker, etc…) There is a kitchen table for 8 as well as a bar area with 4 stools. (Check out pictures)

Outdoor Patio: You will love our new outdoor patio set up with a built in grill. We provide chairs and an outdoor table for relaxing and dining. There is a fan and light for relaxing at night as well as an outdoor hose to rinse off salt and sand from the beach.

Sleeper sofa: Located in the living room for extra sleeping arrangements.

Laundry Room: We provide a washer and dryer, iron and ironing board to be used at your convenience. Laundry detergent and dryer sheets provided!

Parking at “Emerald Villa” is strictly limited to two cars.

Clean Upgraded Property

We enjoyed our stay in the gated community. The property was very nice and has been recently upgraded. The location was close to restaurants and shopping. Shuttles ran to and from the beach frequently and the walk wasn't too bad. We are very glad we didn't rent a golf cart because there is no where to park it at the beach so it wouldn't have benefitted us in helping to tote 7 chairs, a cooler and an umbrella. I would recommend this property to others.

Great location, perfect for our family with a wide age range

Spacious house, lay out was great. Close to the beach and pools! They are not doing wrist bands to use the emerald shores pavilion at this time, and we never saw the shuttle running but the walk was not bad at all. We had been given the wrong code to get into the gated community and couldn't get ahold of either of the property contacts until we left a voicemail. I thought it was odd that they wouldn't answer their phones until a voicemail was left. The house was pretty clean, though under beds clearly needed to be swept out and the shower seemed like it coulf use a more thorough cleaning, but it was pretty decent. It was nice how everything for the beach was there to use, like sand toys, umbrellas, wagon, cooler! Everything that we needed was there and it was a nice stay. Would recommend.

Beautiful home

We loved our stay here! We’ve stayed at many houses in Emerald Shores, this may be our favorite. The decor and layout was modern and visually appealing. Everything was accommodating to our needs. The beds were big and comfy. Our only negative comment is that the volume on the tv in the living room didn’t work. We tried everything and couldn’t ever get it to work. I reached out to both the home owner and house manager with no reply. Minor to us but could be huge to a family that watches a lot of tv on vacation. This home had everything we needed and some things we didn’t. Highly recommend. We’ll be back

Great beach house for family of 8

Great vacation spot for our family of 8. Had everything we needed and loved the Dollar General right next door for quick pick up of things for the house. Master bed was very comfy and the neighborhood is great! Will definitely stay here or any house in Emerald Shores again.

Wonderful!

We all had a great time! The home is clean, quite spacious, and had everything we needed! There were 4 adults and 5 boys ages 11-15 and we had plenty of room! We really appreciated the extra large table, so that we could all eat meals and play games together. The boys enjoyed the pools and basketball court. The walk to the beach wasn't bad at all, but we definitely hopped on the trolley when we could. We had a great vacation and definitely recommend this property!

Everything was great. Wish there had been more towels for large groups. Also, you get 2 wagons for you trek to the beach one had dry rotted tires that need to be replaced. We sent a picture of the tire to the property manager but she didn't respond. But we all had a great time and the house was great for 10 people.

This place could not have been more perfect for our family. The pictures do not do this place justice. There was so much room for us all to stretch out. The only negative I have and it has nothing to do with the house was the trolly to take you to and from the beach was not running.

Little Gem Packed with so much more!

Everything I worried about forgetting was right there! House is so much bigger than the photos make them out to be! We had plenty of space for everyone! Only downfall is parking is tight. Cart for beach luggage which is a short walk. They dont tell you does cost a fee for the week for arm bands. Closer to the second pool which wasnt busy for us. Dollar General is literally right beside which was super convenient and in walking distance to avoid having to drive out in the one way traffic. We did have one rainy day which was hard to sit outside because you have a small deck. But, This house wont disappoint you!

Peaceful & Relaxing with Beautiful Beach Access!

The property afforded lots of natural light and was nice and spacious! The property owners had great communication with us and continued to keep the place upgraded with new bedding and furniture as well as a clean atmosphere to relax and rejuvenate in the tranquility of the laid back neighborhood (even during Spring Break). Awesome place for our family to relax and enjoy catching up with some new friends in the area. Highly recommended!

Overall good stay, great location.

This was a rescheduled trip from 2020. The house is in a great neighborhood with a great beach pavilion with bathrooms. We arrived early and the property manager, Rex, let us in early. The house was in pretty good shape overall, but there was some areas of significant damage. I took pictures with time stamps to document in case of concern. The biggest was the master bedroom door was busted at the bottom (looked like someone kicked it). There was evidence new exterior doors installed. The biggest hassle was two parking speed bumps literally in the middle of the brick driveway. The ad says 2 cars can fit but It prevented us really from parking two cars in the driveway. The property manager said it was due to overhang on neighboring property. They are also a huge tripping hazard. We had issues with tv volume and numerous remotes for 2 days and Rex even came over and couldn’t figure it out. Finally after another few hours of playing around with it randomly the volume worked. Our biggest concern was no communication on check out process, note were there instructions taped to fridge/wall/counter on what to do per check out. We asked Rex and he just said the basics. So we guessed by striping beds, running a load in washer, taking out trash, and running dishwasher. Besides a few inconveniences, overall a great stay in awesome location.

Home was just right for us!!! Loved the beaches and the area! The owner was very nice and accommodating, quick to respond. The manager was not! Said he would be there and call, never came and did not call! Needs new management!
