Please be warned !! this is NOT Legend Hotel Minot !! The sign out front is Sonesta Essential. Two women travelers in a downpour trying to figure that out! The front desk clerk couldn't clarify over the phone. When we finally went inside anyway, the excuse was that they were "under renovation"..... The front lobby had the coffee machine labeled as "out of order" as were all the ice machines except one on the 2nd floor. We were on the fourth floor at the end of the hall. The fire escape was boarded up, as they were on the other floors. There is today NO renovations in progress.

The one and only employee we encountered the first two days was polite and appeared to be helpful but in the end there was little he did or could do. -one side security entrance door did not work with key card or otherwise, the opposite side security door did not lock and was accessible to anyone -one elevator operational, interior was filthy, liquids splashed on the interior elevator walls, hand prints, foot prints, grime that had been there a very long time -hallway garbage cans full of garbage, overflowing and smelling - asked for room service, there was no service because there were no cleaning staff employees to do the work our entire stay -all glass windows and doors obviously had not been cleaned for an extended period of time -two towels only in the rooms - no hair dryers in the rooms -some laundry appliances out of order, as were the coffee machine, main floor restrooms, 4th floor ice machine, - hallways blocked off by sheets of particle board -water was just warm, not hot -incorrect name on the front of the hotel -research appears to indicate this hotel n related ownership company n owner are the subject of civil litigation/court action - have stayed at a number of hotels in Minot, none like this -bottom line, do not stay here, too many issues.
