Just Messy!

The property was great but the house was dirty and definitely needs a good cleaning! The host did not give us a code for the door and didn’t answer until like 45mins later so we had to find stuff to do before checking in! Other than that we had a great stay and would definitely stay again!

Don’t Rent Total Nightmare

I’ve never been so disgusted with a VRBO in my life. We checked out after the first night—we were supposed to be there 3 nights. My son was bit by a bug and his leg swelled up, there was no heat, the owner had the thermostat programmed to not allow for the heat to be turned up. There was no hot water. The floors were dirty with candy and sprinkles, and it looked like no one had cleaned under the bed for months. We were given one wash cloth, two drinking glasses, broken coffee mugs, and old towels that were tattered and torn in the bathrooms. The second bathroom is downstairs in a creepy basement. It looked like someone was drunk and decided to flip a house. Doors were mushing on the frames, cupboards were falling down, etc. the lawn was 8” long and the key holder was rusted out.yuck! Just yuck. When I contacted the owner, he acted like I didn’t know how to use a thermostat and didn’t do wanting to rectify the situation. Of course, how do you go back in time and fix all that stuff?

We stayed at this property to surprise our daughter for her graduation. The location offered convenient access in and out of the neighborhood, and the space was sufficient for our needs, including comfortable beds.However, there were some issues that impacted our overall experience. The cleanliness of the property was not up to expectations; we found leftover food in the microwave, and other areas could have been better maintained. Additionally, the cupboard door was broken, and there were no extra blankets or linens available during our stay.While the property served its purpose as a place to sleep, improvements in cleanliness and maintenance would significantly enhance future guests.

Not Cleaned

When we arrived, it did not appear it had been cleaned since the last guest. The rugs and floor had not been vacuumed/swept, there were dirty dishes, leftovers in the fridge, coffee grounds in the coffee maker, no towels in the kitchen or dish washer detergent. The bathroom and two of the bedrooms smelled like weed and one of the bedrooms had weed left in the night stand. When we contacted the host he said he would speak to the property manager. I provided photos of the weed. He said it was unacceptable and then stopped responding to any messages I sent. Such a shame because the house was very nice and seemed like a nice neighborhood, however the cleanliness was very disappointing and the response from the host was frustrating.

Very nice

Overall I would say the property was very nice and updated recently other than the main bathroom. The space could use a deep cleaning. Lots of dust and build up of filth in the bathroom. There were hair balls on the floor and there appeared to be water damage in the main bathroom as all of the wood work was warped.Lock box needs to be replaced as well. It was so cold outside that the lock box was frozen and we couldn’t get the key out for over 20 mins.Minor bathroom updates and cleaning needed before I would say it aligns with the listing

Three individual bedrooms were great for a girls getaway. It was a great location—close to downtown and various suburbs. Clean, no-frills but nice.

Cozy with some challenges

Overall cozy, owner helpful, some neglect from property management staff. Clean kitchen, living, and bedrooms. Bathrooms still dirty from previous guests, towels not clean (left in washer), but owner dropped fresh reserves promptly. Owner very responsive.to concerns.
