Host Cancelled Minutes Before Check In

Was due to stay at the property for 2 nights and on the day was still yet to receive any check in info. I sent over a message on Vrbo and direct to the number I was given which had been labelled as the hosts number. Check in was supposed to be at 3pm and as 3pm came around I had still not received any details nor gotten a reply, I ended up contacting travel nest by phone call (number provided through Vrbo) to have them tell me the booking had been cancelled by the host 3 minutes before I was due to check in. I was told this was due to overbooking, they were apologetic and told me I’d be given a refund however, this did not solve the issue that I now had no where to sleep and would struggle to find a place for the very same night. Overall an irresponsible host for overbooking and not cancelling my reservation until minutes before check in time, don’t risk booking this place in case this is a common occurrence.
