My family and I left this Italianway property after 20 minutes of stepping our feet in the door and immediately booked another hotel. This Italianway property was in a graffiti infested and sketchy area and the walk to/from Central Station was farther than advertised. We saw a homeless man take a dump on the sidewalk on our way to the property. There was no way you could walk to/from this property from Central Station feeling safe, especially at night. Anybody with common sense will know that that you could easily get robbed staying in this area so we did not hesitate to leave. Regarding the property itself, the elevator in the building kept jerking when you enter, which is not normal. First impression of property itself was ok at best but definitely not worth their nightly rate. Photos were misleading. There is no onsite reception; their offsite reception is at Central Station, which is only open during business hours - HUGE RED FLAG. We understand that there are booking terms and conditions, but we asked multiple times for a full/partial refund as a courtesy/in good faith due to safety concerns and Italianway didn’t care and refused our multiple requests. They gladly kept our money for our 3 night booking when we didn’t even stay there at all!! We are a very loyal and frequent Hotels.com users and this is the worst property and experience ever on their platform. Most importantly, this Italianway property and Italianway customer service is really below Hotels.com standards.
