La Cala de Mijas
This front line beach house is situated in Butibamba, La Cala de Mijas. Four double bedrooms, south facing with fantastic sea views with the option to cater for up to 8 people. There is a spacious lounge which provides TV /DVD & Free WIFI . The kitchen has full cooking facilities as well as a microwave oven. The house is fully air conditioned supplying hot and cold air.

At the front of the house there is a sun terrace where you can dine al fresco looking out to sea.
The rear terrace provides a washing machine and two 150 litre water tanks ensuring sufficient water to cater for all your needs. On the first floor there is a balcony where you can relax, read a book or simply watch the boats go by. The house has a well stocked linen cupboard and ample beach towels.
Should you require a house clean whilst you are on vacation, this can be arranged.

The property is within easy walking distance to the local bars/tapas and grocery store. La Cala de Mijas town is a 10 minute walk, having a range of bars, restaurants, banks and shops.

Originally a tiny fishing village, La Cala de Mijas has become a popular resort for those who wish to visit a charming town that retains its’ Andalucian seaside village atmosphere.
Located on the Mijas Costa, being part of the popular Costa del Sol, it is easily accessible from Malaga International Airport; an approximate 25 minute drive. The town and its’ beaches are well maintained by the presiding Ayuntamiento (town hall) and a recently built paseo/promenade enables walkers and fitness fanatics a scenic passage along the coast to neighbouring Calahonda.

A popular street market is held every Wednesday and Saturday on the large fairground site which becomes the venue for the annual fair and local fiestas which begin on 25th July.
La Cala de Mijas is also an excellent base from which to visit Puerto Banus, Marbella, Torremolinos, Fuengirola, Benalmadena and a trip to the beautiful Mijas Pueblo is a must. A bus service runs every 15 minutes which can take you to Fuengirola or Marbella from Cala de Mijas.


Restaurants
There are numerous restaurants in and around La Cala, most within easy walking distance or a short car ride away. Every taste is catered for; apart from the traditional Spanish fare including tapas and paella, international cuisine is available including Thai, Chinese, Indian, Italian to name but a few. The beachside chiringuitos serve amazing fresh fish and sea food that is cooked ‘espeto’ over hot coals; the result is delicious fresh food with amazing views.
Formal dining is also available at the El Oceano Hotel and the newly opened Olivia’s where music and dancing accompany a great meal.

Sports
There is an abundance of sporting and recreational facilities located nearby including golf, horse riding, tennis and seasonal water sports. Keen golfers are spoilt for choice with competition-standard courses at La Cala, Mijas Golf and El Chaparral. There are numerous other excellent courses in the nearby locality.

10 out 10 again!
Choosing a rental rather than an hotel was a bold decision after years of hotels for us. This was a long overdue family trip so it was important that the right choice was made and this certainly was! Diana was there to great us and after an informative showing we were left to ourselves. Rooms were spotless. The sea was 50 metres away and local restaurants within 2 minute walking distance! Bus services in to Fuengirola and from there connecting services by train and bus to the entire Costa del Sol. During out stay the host Ian took time to call and ask if all was in order, it certainly was! And on our last day fresh croissants from the housemaid. All in all a super place to visit and stay and if more that 10 out of 10 was available then it would get that!!

Brilliant accomodation
My party of 7 adult family members stayed here at end of May 2024. Contact with Ian the owner was really great from before we got there to the day we left. We cant fault the villa it was perfect, from the welcome pack in the fridge to everything inside it. We cant recommend this more highly and hopefully will make it back one day.

The communication from booking this property was brilliant, the advice and recommendations were very helpful The property was in a perfect location, steps away from the beach with several beach restaurants, there was a few restaurants steps away from the property and it was a 10 minute walk to the centre of la Cala The property was spotless with everything you could need, Diana the housekeeper was so lovely, she checked in with us during our stay giving recommendations of places we might like to visit, the service was above and beyond even delivering fresh croissants for breakfast one morning The process of booking was excellent t and communications with the owner excellent any questions we had before and during our stay were responded to immediately Would definitely return to this property

We stayed here in June for 5 nights. The communication with the property owners was excellent they couldn’t have been more helpful. The apartment was very modern and spotlessly clean and the housekeeper was there to welcome us on arrival. Also a welcome pack left for us and croissants on our last morning which was a lovely touch. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic break
Beautiful location and you really can’t be any nearer the sea! Bruno was on hand to help us settle in and nothing was too much trouble so thank you from us all. Beautifully kept house with everything we needed. Would absolutely recommend!

Excellent.
An excellent experience. House was clean, fresh, bright, roomy and airy. Checked in by the cleaning lady who is much more than this, really friendly, responsive and knowledgable. Excellent location, several bars and restaurants within 5 mins which are top notch. Friendly and helpful neighbours along the street. Would defo. stay here again.

The Beach House
High spec accommodation with all mod cons in a perfect location very close to the sea. The house keeper had filled the fridge with milk, water, a few lagers and a bottle of wine which was a nice touch on our arrival. Good for an adult only trip or a trip with the family. We spent 5 nights here and could have stayed within a 400 metre radius of the apartment and still of had everything we needed: very close to the beach, several restaurants, small supermarket if you didn't want to venture into central Cala. But also convenient to catch the bus to Fuengirola and for onward trips out by train. We had a fab time and hope to stay here again.
