The room was clean, the staff were polite and helful, everything worked, the hotel is in a great location hallway between the Zocala (central square) and the Bosque Chapultepec (huge park with many attractions). Buses and taxis outside the front door, subway stations Revolucion and Hidalgo a short walk away. Breakfast in the restaurant was good. We didn't try having dinner at the hotel, but I'm sure it would be good. The rooftop pool was a great place to relax after walking all day. The water was warmer than I would like if I was looking to cool off in the afternoon, but evenings got chilly as soon as the sun went down, so the warm water was good for that. If I could change anything about hotel, it would be having a balcony for stepping outside and getting fresh air in the room. But the ventilation system was good, so that's not really a complaint, just a preference.

It is a convenient location and a great staff

My plane has a delay an I tried several times to contact the property to let them know I will arrive late, but their reservations' department asked me for their confirmation code. They did not take Hotel's itinerary number or my name. Fortunately, my stay was totally paid and I can get a room upon my arrival at 3 am.

The hotel is in a convenient location near restaurants and shopping mall. The staff was friendly and service was great. The pool is small but great for small children. One of the inconveniences was the elevator. The second day of our stay my husband got stuck in one of the two working elevators. At one point after waiting for the elevator for about 10 minutes we were directed to a staff only elevator thru a hidden door. The other inconvenience was the dead roach in one of our rooms. We were moved to a different room but after that we were uncomfortable. If it wasn’t because of these 2 issues we would have very much enjoyed our stay.

staff were outstanding especially the bell man, front desk agents and all the housekeepers. i sincerely wished i can speak spanish, for even in front desk, twas hard to communicate in english fluently. i once called to find out if i needed to bring the towel from my room to the pool or if there are towels available in the pool area? i got transferred 4 times and eventually hung up on because no one seemed to understand my question. second attempt, i called concierge and got the response i needed. property felt old and out dated. although my room has what seemingly newly upgraded shower, the water was leaking badly and seemed not functioning properly. the sink was super slow to drained. again. staff actually were exceptionally friendly and accommodating and professional. just i was not fluent in spanish. total stars: 3.4. rounded down to 3 stars. (staff: 4.5 stars. ding half a star for limited english for a 4* international hotel). would return personally. thank you.

The staff are so friendly here and are quite knowledgeable about what's around. The lobby is beautiful and has nice artwork on display. There is a number of elevators so it was never too long of a wait. I only tried the breakfast buffet and I thought it was good for the price. The room I ended up in while very spacious, was quite cold and while the staff explained how the heating system worked I don't think the heater functioned properly. Also the beds are stiff so if you don't like firm mattress, oh boy. The lighting is also a bit dim. While this didn't deter me it did for my grandmother who needs more light to be able to see/read . Overall it's not a bad place, I would stay again probably not with my grandma though.
