Hotel was staff was friendly and welcoming. Our concierge Chris was more than helpful making check in seamless, he did speak English. We stayed on the 10th floor, our room was clean and had a kitchenette that provided filtered water. Our room did smell like sewage but to be fair I think this is a problem through out the city and my only complaint about this hotel. We booked our room to include a continental breakfast and one free spirits per day. We did not receive either. There was only fresh pan dulce in the lobby every morning. If there’s an option to book without the breakfast and spirit, you’re better off saving the money. They had a nice rooftop to catch the sunset. Overall it’s in a great location and within walking distance to many food options and coffee shops.

The first review I've ever written but our stay was so awful I have no choice. My husband & I are incredibly well-traveled and have stayed in hotels all over the world. ONTO is absolutely not a 5-star hotel, not even close. A 2 at best and that's a stretch. The point of a hotel is to SLEEP, and it's absolutely impossible to sleep here. The booming nightclub next door had our windows shaking and room vibrating until ~3 am. Sure, the hotel provides cheap earplugs but they didn't help at all. Perhaps the most frustrating though were the dozens of mosquitos in our room. Once we turned the lights off and *attempted* to sleep, we just heard buzzing in our ears and were constantly turning the lights back on to kill them. We weren't able to sleep at all, and found ourselves with countless bites in the morning. Upon speaking to the front desk, they told us they'd swap our room after the first miserable night (though we paid for the most expensive room category, we were more than willing to downgrade if it meant actually getting some rest). The next morning, Mario scoffed at us saying there were no other rooms available. 3 times we asked over the course of 36 hours with zero solution. The second night was no better. Loud noises and endless mosquitos in our room. Finally, my husband & I booked another hotel and cut our losses for the rest of our stay. As we checked out prematurely, Mario once again could not have cared less. I'll be taking this up with my CC company. Worst hotel ever!!

Awesome design and location, walkable to everything . I had a room on the higher floor and it had fantastic views. The room was well appointed, had great toiletries, little knickknacks that made it feel like home. The inside/outside design of the staircase is beautiful and showcased the thoughtful design. Highly recommend and would gladly stay again.

The rooms are very nice and well-appointed, but our room smelled terrible and there must be someone with like 20 dogs nearby, because they go off barking all together every morning and it’s super loud.

We really enjoyed our stay at Ontala Mexico City. The room was huge, and provided us an apartment like feel, rather than a smaller hotel room. It was wonderful to have the living area to use while we took a break from exploring all Mexico City had to offer. I was also able to take a meeting via Zoom and had no problems with the WiFi. The location was perfect - we will central to everything and walking distance to so many incredible restaurants, bars, and much more. I’d like to give a special shoutout to Abraham at the front desk. He welcomed us with such a positive attitude, and kept that welcoming energy our whole stay. Our last day he went above and beyond to plan an itinerary for us in an area we had yet to explore. Thank you Abraham and the entire staff. See you next time we are in Mexico City!

This hotel is very conveniently located. The front desk staff is friendly. The apartment is spacious and clean. The kitchen comes with dishes, skillets and silverware. There's a small container of cooking oil but nothing else so bring salt and pepper and whatever else you may need. The stove was impossible to operate because there were no instructions and the fan above didn't work. Maintenance came right away and they replaced the motor of the fan the next day. The stove randomly shut off every couple of minutes. There's also a microwave. Although there are windows, which I opened for a few minutes, there are mosquitoes and they came right in, I wasn't able to find them but they came out to bite me at night so had to sleep with the covers over my head. The mattress was really hard and uncomfortable although I know that's a matter of personal preference.

Wonderful stay in a beautifully designed hotel and room. Perfectly located to walk around the neighbourhood and beyond. Great restaurants and parks all at walking distance. A little noisy at night but I was not bothered by it. The hotel room had everything we needed and more for a 3 day stay. Absolutely loved it!
