Great location, some room issues

It's a lovely hotel but we had a few issues that made our stay less than 5-star. First, our toilet was clogged/unusable for 2 days. We reported this to the front desk at least 4 times and each time they said it's being fixed. We finally had to insist that a maintenance person come to the room with us so they could spend 30 minutes fixing the toilet. The second issue was with noise. We paid for an upgraded room with a terrace overlooking the courtyard. What we didn't realize was that there are several bars in the courtyard that play loud music until at least 11pm every night. This was very audible in our room. When we asked for a different room, we were told there were no other rooms available and they would give us earplugs (which never arrived). If you are interested in a quiet room, I suggest requesting a room on the street side of the hotel. All that being said, the hotel is in a great location and the staff is very friendly. The concierge was very helpful and I would still recommend the hotel to other travelers.

I loved my stay at the Mondrian! I was amazed at how clean they kept our room during the whole stay. The concierge desk was super helpful, recommending a taco place our first night and explaining one of the earthquake alarms that went off. Ubers had an easy time pulling up to pick us up. Walking distance to a lot of great bars, restaurants, a park. And when in doubt can always go to the SkyBar if you don’t want to leave the hotel but still want food/drinks and a good view. Also has a cute little flower shop in the building that is perfect for a quick breakfast before running out the door.

Good neighborhood

Booked for the location in Condesa and the rooftop bar which was closed during our stay ( Monday and Tuesday). Excellent service but underwhelmed by the room which felt crowded and the modern building felt a bit cold after picturesque places we stayed in elsewhere in Mexico and cdmc

Location is amazing. The hotel is clean and has decent amenities - however I was told that pool access at the Andaz is no longer provided. The staff is enthusiastic and well-meaning, however the execution was sometimes lacking, for example being charged by the hotel for a spa treatment that I paid for directly (which they did remove from the bill) or following up with the concierge multiple times to get responses.

The hotel is quite nice, with a good coffee shop in the lobby and an outdoor terrace bar for evening cocktails. We only had breakfast in the sky lounge once and it was terrible. There are plenty of far better options in the neighborhood. My main problem with the hotel was the fact that I submitted several requests for a rollaway bed for our double room, and received confirmation both through email and on a telephone call that we would be granted this extra bed as long as there was one available. When we arrived at the hotel and checked in we were told that the room was too small for a rollaway bed and it would be impossible to have one. Surely if this is the case, then the people from the hotel who emailed me and spoke to me on the phone prior to arrival could also have explained this fact to me? There is a serious flaw in their communication. We dealt with sharing beds in the small double room we were given, but it would have been nicer to have the additional bed I was promised would be an option. I also witnessed a family with a baby checking in and being told that there would be no room for a crib in their room, despite having that request confirmed prior to arrival. So, this is a repeated issue for this hotel. Not sure if they are intentionally misleading guests or it's just poorly run management with no communication. Otherwise, the stay was fine.

December Trip to CDMX

Great terrace room. Super spacious. Extremely helpful concierge who helped get us amazing dinner reservations each night. Great courtyard for sitting and loved the coffee shop on the ground floor. Overall cool vibes.
