Extremely noisy, we asked the property to change our stay to another location they own and they refused. They supplied ear plugs to sleep and when we decided to just leave and not stay they refused to give our money back. I wouldn’t stay at any of their properties if I were you. Stick to American Companies.

Flor the staff working at the front is very rude and disrespectful. She was mad that she had to do her job and check in our luggage even though we were very polite to her. She is unprofessional and is not a nice person at all. She gave us dirty looks and spoke very rudely. I am very unhappy with my experience staying here because of her. She made us uncomfortable and disliked being here. I liked my room and the other staff, but she was just not someone that should be customer facing.

The property was well maintained and the pictures are a fair representation of what you will get. Generally, we had a lovely stay and would consider staying here again. The location has restaurants nearby, a small mall, easy access to transportation and my favorite… easy access to the gorgeous Parque Mexico. The staff was very nice. The only cons were 1) it was loud at times as it faces a really busy street 2) most of the washing rooms dont work and they dont communicate it upfront, so you find out by having to walk all floors or ending up with a dryer that doesnt dry 3) you communicate with both the central kukun team and the property itself but there is major miscommunication between them and they will blame you when it becomes a problem instead of just accepting it which is super uncomfortable I was in a studio and it was scorching hot when we got there but it got better through the days with both AC and multiple fans available which I never turned off. The AC used does not seem powerful enough for the room size

We never ended up staying there. Added a day to our rsvp because we had things to do the next day and couldnt wait until 3pm for check in so we went and checked in on a thursday (left souvenirs and went to stay at our original hotel that night) red flag, our key code waa not working and we were given this guys "personal code" no attempts after check in were made to get the code issue fixed and after reading reviews this is an ongoing issue. I would be surprised if i posted the code that anyone cpuld get in to everone elses room. We never stayed there, we had dropped off our suitcases. Mever u packed that friday but while out i just had an unsettling feeling that wouldnt go away and I decided to book another hotel and we left. We had orginally booked 3 nights but never stayed. I tried reaching out to at least get some.money back for 1 night but expedia has been difficult to communicate with. The rooms are dark. Not like the pictures. Its not as cozy as it seems in the picture. Unfortunately i would not book here again. I just didnt feel safe. Expedia, get it together and read the reviews, this place has a key code issue that theyre are not fixing.

Fernanda and her colleagues were wonderful. The only thing that was so so, was the lack of air conditioning in the flat. We were provided with mobile units that unfortunately didn't do a great job, so we endured some very warm days in the flat.

As a solo traveler I felt very safe here, loved that there was always staff at the entrance. The apartment I stayed in was nice and clean. The separate water dispenser in kitchen sink for drinking water was soooooo nice to have access to clean water at any time. It was always so easy to catch an uber within minutes from right outside the door. Loved that there were a few vegan restaurants/eateries within a block. Also a convenience store right next door. The traffic is loud at night but they provide ear plugs and sound machine. My only complaint was how hot my room was…unbearable to sleep for me. Even with fans provided I had such a hard time sleeping because it was hot and stuffy. The AC unit just blows sir but doesn’t cool. So if you need a cool space in order to sleep this is not it but if that doesn’t bother you then this is a great choice.

We had an almost two week-long stay here recently, and found the area to be great in terms of shopping, dining, and leisure options. The area was safe, staff were always friendly and accommodating. The only major downside is that the room we stayed in got SO HOT, especially at night. Despite there being two fans, something about the setup made it so hot... add to that, the fans need regular cleaning or they just end up blowing around soot. The bed and shower were comfortable, and the free washers and dryers were appreciated. The added kitchen area was cute.

Casa Kukun is definitely be a place I would stay at in Mexico City again. The property is clean, safe and super walkable to many restaurants, food vendors, gym, buses and more. Security is very welcoming and kind. The apartment was spacious but did get warm during the day. Bed was great and comfortable. Shower could use more pressure and stay hot for longer but overall a great stay! Would highly recommend.

Always stay here! Its quite impressive. Easy communication. Female Manager on site is awesome! Security guards are awesome and friendly and the rooftop view is stunning. Wish I was born Mexican! Dying to go back!

I had a great time staying at Kukun. My unit was clean, newly renovated and modern. I had a small kitchenette where I brewed Kukun house coffee each morning. The bed was comfy and my shower was also great. I had no issues with hot water and the water pressure was very good. The rooftop has awesome 360 views of the city. I preferred it to the aibnbs and hotel where my friends stayed on the trip. I’d definitely stay there again.

Overall we liked the property. The apartment was nice, even though it was small. The only thing that surprised us was the absence of AC. We were offered two floor fans though, so the temperature was manageable.

My fiancé and I were looking forward to staying at Casa Insurgentes for our week long getaway. When we checked into the hotel, we went to our room to find out that it was 90 F in the room. *This hotel does not have a/c. I contacted the front desk and told them that the room was too hot. They advised to open the windows and use the fans that were provided. Unfortunately the room never cooled down and there were no other rooms available. What was supposed to be a week long stay ended after one night. Hotel management is very difficult to communicate with. Please make sure that you’re fine with no air conditioning and that the room windows do not face the sun.
