Nous sommes très contents de notre séjour loin de la canicule parisienne, remercions chaleureusement l’équipe de l’hôtel pour son accueil et sa disponibilité. Nous reviendrons pour profiter des très jolis paysages et villages de Normandie, ainsi que de ses températures plus douces, notamment à proximité de Cabourg situé à quelques dizaines de minutes de Lisieux.

We had a very good 2 night stay at Le Grand Hôtel de l'Espérance in Lisieux. The room was basic but very clean and practical. They still provided a kettle and tea and coffee. A mini fridge would have been nice though. The bathroom had shower only but it had a good amount of storage space. We had one dinner in their restaurant which was good and good value for money. The service was good and efficient, even though the restaurant was full and only one person serving. The breakfast was excellent. They had 2 Camembert style cheeses, Emmental, spicy sausages as the hot option, hard boiled eggs, good quality cold cooked ham, good grilled ham, yoghurt, croissants, 2 types of homemade cake, fruit salad, and one of the best apple pies we have ever eaten. The selection was constantly replenished. The people at the reception very friendly and professional. If we were to visit Lisieux again, we would stay there again.

La chambre était bien, le personnel très sympa. Pensez à mettre un matelas en 160 et non deux matelas une place qui éviterait que les matelas s’écartent pendant la nuit. Mettre deux tables de nuit adaptées à la chambre. La salle de bain sentait trop la javel. Et une petite cuillère était sale.
