I just returned from 2 weeks in Northern Italy and Merano was my first stop. We stayed for 3 nights. We are a family of 4 and selected Kuntino because of its location (in the center of the city) and the size of the space. We loved everything about this place even though it wasn't a traditional hotel experience. These are beautiful, modern apartments owned by a wonderful family. Aurelie and Dominique were great hosts and helped us in whatever we asked for. They own the cafe below the apartments so we would have breakfast or late afternoon drink. They made us feel like locals and we enjoyed that..even if it was only for a few days. As for Merano, its a great mid size city/town with lots to do and has a really nice vibe. The city is walkable but big enough to take a few days to explore. Its sits in a beautiful valley and views from surrounding mountains hills are phenomenal. I highly recommend a visit and if you day, Kuntino is a great choice for someone looking for a local experience.
