Disappointed and Disturbed by My Stay
I stayed at the AVID hotel from Thursday to Sunday and unfortunately, the experience fell far below expectations. Although I never requested room service, I did expect basic cleanliness during a multi-day stay. The room was never cleaned, despite asking for towels twice—someone finally came by around 11 PM, but the room remained untouched. Even when I explicitly requested a cleaning, the staff only picked up dirty towels and stretched out the same sheets. A piece of paper I purposely left on the floor to test attentiveness remained in the exact spot throughout my stay.
The final night was the worst—a cockroach crawled out, which was terrifying and unacceptable in any accommodation. To add to the distress, my rental car was stolen from the front of the hotel at around 10:30 PM. While I recognize that crime can happen anywhere and that the hotel isn’t directly responsible, the police requested security footage, which should be standard procedure for guest safety.
This stay left me feeling unsettled and deeply disappointed. I hope the hotel takes these concerns seriously and makes the necessary improvements to offer a safe, sanitary experience for future guests.
