Beautiful stay in Mellieha

Gorgeous apartment which had everything in it (and more) that we needed. Incredible views. Joe and Chris went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great! This place is absolutely charming and we would recommend it to everyone.

Fantastic property.

Phenomenal Location

Our rental for the week from Joe was a wonderful experience. From the moment we were picked up from the airport by Catherine, to meeting Lorna and speaking with Joe, we had nothing but great experiences. The flat was perfect for our family of six and a perfect location. In the evenings we enjoyed the view from our balcony and the kids enjoyed the pool immensely. The neighbours were kind and wonderful to speak with. The location was excellent in terms of restaurants, grocery shopping and reaching destinations. We enjoyed our stay so much that we are looking forward to returning in the near future to Joe’s flat. Thank you so much Joe!

What an amazing stay

We were greeted at the property and shown the property. Wonderful location close to everything we wanted to do within walking distance, or a short 10 min walk to the bus stop with regular busses. All of which is provided in the welcome folder given by the landlord. One thing that caught us off guard was having to pay for electricity, but understood. However the apartment got so hot throughout the day that we blew through the initial installment of power within the first few days. Suggestion to the owner to install black out curtains in the living room and kitchen to make it more energy effective. overall we had a wonderful time with our family of 5 and would recommend a stay to our friends and family.

Vacation in Malta

Every aspect of this rental experience was absolutely perfect. We are seasoned travellers and this apartment was undoubtedly the most well-represented place we have ever stayed in. Joe was quick to respond to us from pre through to post-booking. Lorna greeted us warmly and had prepared a lovely food package to start our vacation, which was most appreciated. The taxi services they booked for us were on time, professional and luxurious. The apartment was exactly as detailed. Beautifully appointed, very well outfitted, modern kitchen with all the conveniences of “home”. The place was spotless, with plenty of fresh towels, very comfortable beds and a huge amount of closet space in each bedroom. Internet was easily accessible. A detailed manual has been prepared for guests that is most helpful, with tips on local restaurants, grocery stores, etc. The location is safe and very pretty, with a walkable rugged coastline directly in front and a beach area within a few moments walk. We reviewed our experience overall as 5 stars simply because we couldn’t put more!!!

Lovely apartment

Joe’s apartment is spacious, well-equipped, clean and comfortable. One of the best we have stayed in. The communication from Joe and his management company was excellent and we were sent a very comprehensive package of information regarding the apartment which covered everything we needed to know. The complex is well-maintained and secure. We organised our airport transfers through Joe and the taxi was prompt and a reasonable price. The online description of the apartment is accurate. I would only mention that if you go in the winter, as we did, there is not as much sun on the terraces as you might expect from the description due to the sun being lower in the sky at this time. There are several restaurants within easy walking distance and a mini market, the Luna, which catered for all our holiday needs. I would certainly recommend this apartment.

Had a lovely week in the apartment , location good only short walk to beach, bars and restaurants. On the whole well equipped however bath towels in particular need upgrading . Joe was very prompt in answering any questions. We really enjoyed our stay and first visit to Malta.

Stunning views and beautiful apartment

Renting from Joe was easy and stress free. Joe organized our transport late at night from the airport and the driver took us right into the apartment. The view is stunning, we enjoyed the pool in the complex and making your own food is easy in a well stocked apartment. Melieha has great beaches and the close proximity to the Gozo and Comino ferries makes day trips very easy. Our expectations were exceeded. I can recommend the property and hope to visit again soon.

Tas Sellum Residence Appt 442

Stay Dates: 20-27 August 2019 The photos of the view from the balcony of this apartment do not do it justice. It is truly stunning. We spent many happy nights on the balcony eating and playing cards with our kids. The apartment is large, there were 5 of us staying there and there was plenty of room. The kitchen is amazing and there are two bathrooms so no queuing up is needed. The pool is a mildly salt water pool and is a good size. I’m 6ft and I could stand up in the deep end with my head above the water, so no diving in, I’m afraid! One of our party has restricted mobility issues but this was not a problem at all. The lift opens up pretty much directly to your main door so there’s no distance walking involved. As the lift only services the apartments in your block of about 9 or 10 apartments there’s no long wait for the lift like there is in a hotel. Joe, the owner keeps in constant contact if you need anything. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend this apartment to anyone.

Perfect home from home!

We had a very enjoyable holiday staying in this beautiful, spacious apartment. It is exactly as shown in the publicity photos. The kitchen is very well stocked with pots, pans and any utensils you could possibly need. We had no problems at all in cooking meals most evenings. The apartment was very clean and we felt the high quality furniture definitely made it feel more like a home away from home. We arrived late in the evening, so took advantage of the airport transfer suggested by Joe (the driver, Gino, was amazing!) and also the recommended car hire company who delivered the car to the apartment the next morning. Both of these services ran very smoothly. Lorna, the apartment manager, also came to greet us the following morning and was always available if we had any problems. We used the underground garage, which was very handy and also meant that we could take the lift directly to our apartment. Security at the complex is very good, so no worries there. We mainly used the balcony accessed from the kitchen and was sunny from early morning until mid afternoon. Breakfast on the balcony, looking out over Mellieha Bay, was our normal routine. If I could make one suggestion, it would be to maybe provide some smaller sun loungers/folding picnic chairs for use around the swimming pool. As a party of 3 ladies (1 in her early 80s) we did struggle with the very generously sized loungers when taking these down to and returning from the pool each day. (It is a great idea though that no loungers etc can be left around the pool overnight. This ensures that the pool area is kept tidy!) Other than this, the apartment was perfect and we would have no reservations whatsoever in recommending this as a base for your trip to Malta.

World Class accommodation

This apartment in Mellieha, Malta at Tas Sellum is first world luxury in a second world country. The kitchen is the most complete and best appointed of anywhere I have ever stayed. The three balconeys are a real plus as is the private underground parking. I do not recommend driving on this island as the roads are often ill marked, very narrow, and the locals drive with abandon, on the wrong side of the road. Plus, an automatic transmission is almost unavailable. Be prepared to walk a great deal as the restaurants and services are about 1 kilometer away. The furnishings and bedding is upscale and a modern washer/dryer is included. The property (Tas Sellum) is known by all the public transport systems, but a coach cannot get to the property and a nearly 1 mile walk is required to get to the coach pick-up points for tours. There are some very good restaurants like Blu Beach and Norra within walking distance. A starter breakfast is included for late arrivals. The local landlord contact (Lorna and Theresa) were available and gave prompt attention to any issues. I would highly recommend staying at this property, but our mid May stay was cold and wet and the pool and decks could not be used and we had to bundle up wherever we went.

A wonderful place

It was my first trip to Malta (2 adults). The apartment is beautiful with stunning views and great balconies. Everything is close by and easy to get to. We hired a car and took the advise of Joe not to rent from the airport. A separate car rental was arranged by Lorna that was extremely good value for money and the car was dropped off to the apartment and picked up on departure and we couldn’t have asked for better. The apartment had all and even more than what one needed. Beautiful traditional furniture, top of the range kitchen goods and easy access from the garage to the apartment. It was apparent that this place is tended to with care. Lorna is the property manager and made all the necessary arrangements and everything was perfect. I hope we will be able to stay again in the future! Thank you Joe and Lorna for making this trip memorable.

Great Condo

We stayed in unit 442. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. We ate all our dinners at the condo because the kitchen was very well equipped and had the space to easily prepare meals. The view, of Mellieha Bay, from our balcony was spectacular. Any concerns or questions we had were quickly answered by Charlene. We highly recommend this condo. Great stay!

Superb large 2 bedroom apartment with all you could possibly need in great location

Superb apartment that truly is a home from home, fully equipped modern good quality kitchen that was a pleasure to cook in. Large living room with plenty of space to relax along with good balcony space with fantastic sea views. Two good sized bedrooms with very comfortable beds. Two well equipped modern shower rooms (one with bath too) Also has a well equipped utility room with washer and dryer. Apartment is in a very well kept modern complex with a pool (bit too cold to use when we were there in April but good sized and very clean). Great coastal location not too far from Mellieha beach. Definitely easier having a hire car to get about and explore the island and there is use of a private garage included with the apartment to store it. Everything in the apartment had a good quality feel about it and was was all spotlessly clean. We had a great family holiday here (2 adults, 2 kids) and would definitely come back and stay at this apartment again. Perfect base for quiet family holiday to explore Malta and Gozo from!
