Accommodation in Melgaço

Melgaco is a cool place for a getaway, however, accommodation in the middle of the city is very limited. You'll have more success finding a place to stay at any of the 7 suitable options within 10 kilometres.

If you want to be as close as possible to the central streets, the Hotel Boavista II and Monte Prado Hotel & Spa are top options.

30 kilometres from the centre of Melgaco is the Balneario de Mondariz. Alternatively, the Hotel Bienestar Termas de Monção is situated 20 kilometres away. The Casa de Rodas, as well as the Convento dos Capuchos, are two other recommended places to book accommodation in Melgaco.

Should you have the time, make sure you see more of Norte. Admire Norte's beaches. If that's not your idea of a good time, go to the region's ruins, castles and old towns. More active types can try their hand at mountain biking, mountain climbing and hiking in this part of Portugal.

Looking for more to do? Spend the day discovering the Vilarinho das Furnas Dam and Caldelas Thermal Spa, which you'll find in Terras de Bouro, 35 kilometres to the south of Melgaco. If you'd like to spend a night or two in Terras de Bouro, check out the Hotel Carvalho Araújo and Aguas do Gerês Hotel Termas & SPA. Or, you could consider staying in Ponte de Lima, 45 kilometres to the southwest of Melgaco, where you'll find the Quinta do Sobreiro and Casa das Torres. Whether you're just passing through or staying in Ponte de Lima, be sure to visit the Parque do Arnado, Ponte de Lima Bridge and Feitosa Golf Club.

Planning on flying to Melgaco? You'll most likely be flying in and out of Peinador Airport, 40 kilometres from the heart of Melgaco. Book a room nearby at the Motel Aeropuerto.

Miradouro Do Castelo
Wotif Verified Review
4 / 5
We booked this hotel knowing that it was going to be basic. So keep this in mind when we describe the hotel. Location - very good, from here you can hike, bike, take tours canyon. Room- Basic but clean Breakfast - coffee, Deli meat, cheese, cake, and juice. Bad- There are no bike rental on site or anywhere close by. Expedia say that there were bike rentals on site. This was the main reason we stayed here. On night, we had car revving and joking with no regards and in the early morning they were mowing the grass very early in the morning. You will not be able to sleep here. Peace and tranquility you will not get here.
