Property is quirky if you like a medieval setting. We booked king size bed and lake view. We got 2 single beds and the lake view was a very small piece of water between buildings on either side of the street. Reception were not helpful, arguing we had what we booked but I don’t think that is correct. No alternative was offered nor any discount for our disappointment. Room is in old premises without AC, very hot whilst we were there. All things to be aware of and Expedia should update their description as it is not what you are booking.

This Hotel close to Lake Constance was very nice. The Mittelalter concept was great and we also had a small view of the lake. It was fun staying there. From there you can walk around and explore Meersburg.

Small room on the third floor with spiral staircase. No help from stuff with luggage. It was advertised with free parking, but they wanted to charge for parking anyway. Excellent breakfast though.

Parking was €12 per day and 2 out of the 3 days the chef had parked in the car park taking guests spaces. One day in our allocated spot, one day another guests so they parked in ours!!!!

We enjoyed our stay at Mittelalterhotel-Gastehaus Rauchfang in Meerserg. We arrived on Easter Saturday and Meersberg was very busy. Our parking stall was taken but the staff allowed us to park inside a covered garage and that was wonderful. The room was on 3rd floor - very nice, very quiet. The housekeeping maid was very nice. Good bed and shower. Great location and good wifi. Breakfast at a nearby restaurant was very good. We'd stay there again.

Great location, cool fitout!

Great overnight stay, loved the theatre fitout, especially the candles that are turned on via the light switch. Check in was awkward, as you need to go to a neighboring building but the map on the door wasn’t really clear.

Klein, aber fein...

Das Hotel ist eine gute Empfehlung für 2 bis 3 Nächte. Die Zimmer sind klein, aber genügend für ein Paar. Die Betten sind 2 zusammengeschobene Einzelbetten. Das Bad schick, wenn auch klein. Die Rezeption befindet sich in einem anderen Hotel, welches über 1 Parkplatz verfügt, welches mit dem Shuttle für ins Hotel wo sich das Frühstück befindet, belegt ist. Zum Check-in kriegt man eine Karte für ins Auto um auf der Strasse parkieren zu dürfen, welche aber nicht vor einer Busse schützt, wenn man länger als 30 min benötigt oder das Check-in nicht besetzt ist. Das Parkhaus ist rund 400m entfernt, aber für meinen Geschmack sehr passend, als bei den prekären Platzverhältnissen im Städtchen parkieren zu müssen und Schäden danach zu haben. Das Frühstück ist ebenfalls in einem anderen Hotel, ca 200 m entfernt. Dort treffen sich die Gäste von ca 3-4 Hotels. Ist schön präsentiert und hat genügend für alle. Zu rush hours muss man leicht anstehen.

Wir waren sehr enttäuscht. Der Seeblick ist eine Gasse, durch die man einen kleinen Blick auf den See werfen kann. Die Zimmer sind sehr sehr klein und Ur alt. Das Rezeption ist ca. 50 m entfernt. Es ist ein altes abgewohntes Hotel. So hab ich schon lange nicht gewohnt. Das Frühstück ist ca 300 m entfernt in einem anderen Hotel. Aber das war dann die Überraschung. Direkt am See..zwar Massenabfertigung aber gut und das Personal war sehr nett. Aber wir würden dieses Hotel nie wieder buchen.

Bel endroit, hôtel propre, confortable à l'ambiance amusante. Buffet du petit déjeuner absolument excellent dans l'Hôtel Wilder Man très chic avec vue imprenable sur le lac ! Seul léger "bémol", le ticket journalier de parking fourni par l'hôtel expire le lendemain à 11h30. Il a fallu payer un supplément pour sortir. Sinon tout était extrêmement agréable.
