The check-in staff were flat-out rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional — and their supervisor somehow managed to be even worse. This place is cheap for a reason, and you feel it the minute you walk in. The shuttle is a nightmare: with the endless traffic between the hotel and the Haram, you waste half your trip just waiting or being stuck in transit. Booking this hotel was a terrible mistake, and I regret every minute I spent here. Do yourself a huge favor and stay far, FAR away from this dump. Avoid it like the plague

Very attentive and helpful front desk. Breakfast is generous. Allowed me an early check in and late check out. Shuttle to Masjid Ul Haram is readily available. Highly recommend this facility, it’s a 4-Star hotel but nothing less than a 5-Star hotel.

We recently went for Umrah in Makkah and stayed at the Voco Hotel. It was an excellent experience from start to finish. The hotel is still new, very clean, and well maintained. The rooms were comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options. One of the biggest conveniences was the 24/7 shuttle bus service to the Haram, which made going back and forth extremely easy and stress-free. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely choose Voco again on our next visit. Highly recommended!

This was a great hotel, the staff were professional and the rooms were clean and spacious. There were also plentiful lifts (around 8-10 per tower), so that it was rare that you. had to wait more than a minute to be able to go upstairs/downstairs - something which is quite rare with other hotels in Makkah. There is also a small mall within the basement which we found very useful for being able to pick up snacks + water late into the night. In terms of the distance to the Haram, it is probably around a 20-25 minute walk. Whilst the distance itself is not too far, the roads are poorly designed for pedestrians. Due to the volume of people walking, it can be a little bit of a slog to make it to the mosque. We tried the shuttle service once, and it was clean and arrived on time. However due to the traffic on the roads it probably took around 30 minutes to reach the bus terminal, and then another 10 minute walk from there. Having said this, the upside of being a little further out is that you are a bit further from the crowds, it is easier to get a taxi in/out of the hotel and the food in the surrounding area is considerably cheaper than if you were staying close to the Haram.

They offer bus service from hotel to Haram I'm back to the hotel. On Friday after the Friday prayer the bus taking off back to the hotel was very packed it took us about an hour to board and because the traffic was heavy and there was a detour in one of the streets it ended up taking us about an hour and a half to get near the hotel and the bus needed another 30 minutes to arrive but a lot of people including myself got off the bus and ended up walking to the hotel. Overall I am still happy with my choice as it has nothing to do with the hotel service and room grade. The staff were super nice.

My stay at voco Makkah was absolutely amazing from start to finish. I enjoyed everything about this hotel. The staff were truly outstanding — warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything I needed. The service was fast and professional, and the entire experience felt comfortable and stress-free. The room was clean, spacious, and very relaxing after long days, and the hotel’s atmosphere was peaceful and well-organized. I’m genuinely impressed with how well everything was managed.
