Service not the same as it used to be

I have stayed in this hotel twice due to its excellent location. First time it was brilliant, the reception staff, the service staff and everyone else was really welcoming and ready to help in any possible way. The second time, things unfortunately took a downturn, we requested for an early check-in temporarily in a smaller room just to freshen up and despite having the rooms available we were told that no rooms are available even though we were willing to pay extra for even a few hours. The hotel staff this time weren't as keen and as accommodating as it was the first time. There was never a response from the reception staff when we tried to call a few times from the room and had to always pop down to talk to the staff. The Adhan and Prayer speaker wasn't working in our room and took a while for it to work. In future, I am not sure if I would stay at this same hotel, there are plenty of other options around so may be a different one next time.

Food was really nice,with a lot of options in the buffet. We had a king suite which was nice and spacious. Staff were very nice and approachable. We dod experience one issue in that we noticed some bed bug bites. We did not see any bed bugs ourselves but we reported it nonetheless. Special mention goes to Riyaz Haniffa who came to resolve. He arranged for all our luggage to be transferred to another more superior room suite with fantastic views and arranged for complementary refreshments for the inconvenience. It was good to see that they take hygeine concerns so seriously. Stayed at this hotel twice now and would definitely return in future.
