Although the property is a little older & not shiny and new anymore, I still had a wonderful stay! I had a little trouble with the shower drain that took a few tries to fix, but the hotel staff couldn’t have been any nicer and more helpful! The room was quiet. Bed was pretty comfy. Toiletries smelled nice. Facility was a in a great location on campus. Thanks for a good stay!

Great hotel, convenient to UA

I’ve stayed at this hotel many times for conferences and High School football playoffs. My room was very spacious and comfortable. My only complaint was that you couldn’t open the door fully to the bathroom, but that’s a design flaw and nothing against the hotel itself. It was a little comical actually!

I booked a suite so I could host a movie night for my college student daughter and her friends. The suite had 2 TVs, both Samsung. Imagine my surprise when we realized that neither TV was a Smart TV. So, there went movie night. I was in room 276 which was very quiet with no neighboring rooms (exterior wall on one side and stairwell on the other). The housekeeping staff were VERY loud every morning beginning at 9 am. This hotel is average. It is clean and the front desk staff were pleasant. The lighted bathroom mirror stopped working on the second day. Maintenance fixed the issue while I was away from the room that afternoon. Bed was comfortable. The most annoying thing about my room other than having to cancel movie night because the TVs were set up like it was the year 2000 was how the shower was set up. It had a glass wall with a glass door that pushed inward. To turn on the water, you have to push the door open into the shower, stand with one leg in the shower to reach the control, turn the control on (it’s COLD!!!), adjust the water temperature while you get totally wet. It’s the most stupidly designed shower ever.

Comfy, but a little old

Bed was very comfortable. Free bottled water and coffee pods. Refrigerator in room. Bathroom was very small. Walls were paper thin - could hear every noise. Lounge and desk chairs were dirty/stained. Ceiling stucco was cracked in several places.

Wonderful hospitality & Great Location

Hotel Capstone has a great environment, beautiful decor, super clean and very hospitable staff. They were very helpful, kind and accommodating. The location is in the heart of the University of Alabama campus and convenientlynext door to the Bryant Conference Center.

Perfect location if you are visiting the campus or going to a game. Shower set up was weird to where you would get your arm wet no matter what when turning on. Also the in room coffee was absolutely atrocious tasting. They need a change there on provider. Super clean. Nice little restaurant bar downstairs and friendly staff.
