There are only one or two non-motel hotels around Ely and this is one of them. Breakfast was below average with some eggs and breakfast sausages. The check in was smooth but at the check out, I wanted to return the room keys; then, the front desk lady make me feel like I was such a inconvenience for whatever she was doing… Also, I saw many fliers around the town, indicating the town has or had some sort of water pressure problem so bad that some stores had to go out of business???? After I saw that, I was afraid to even brush my teeth with tap water, which tasted a bit strange. Make sure to bring lots of bottles of water, if you are staying in Ely.

I was told that I was stuck in the room without power to tv lights fridge she got the bath room light working but we would have to wait over an hour for maintenance to deem room uninhabitable and then she would have to call the owner after that to get us moved This was already after 8:30 pm and we were tired We did use the room because it was only choice at getting sleep at that point Someone was running the dryer late at night The stairs fire doors were loud all night - bathroom towels are under sink on open shelf close to floor I couldn’t say much about the rest of the place with no lights to see much Phone by bedside was broken

Staff was rude. We were told the pool shut down at 10 PM and our room was directly across from the pool. We have kids I was trying to get to bed and at 10:30 PM, it sounded like we were in the middle of an auditorium. It was so loud. When I went to the front desk to ask about it, she told me that I was welcome to go tell the people to leave the pool area. She was rude and unpleasant and basically told me that it was what it was. I wouldn’t stay there again. I emailed the general manager and never heard back. Breakfast was mediocre. Definitely not what I’m used to from a La Quinta property. Also - part of the reason I chose this hotel is because it had a gym and I am a runner who is training for a marathon. The single Treadmill was out of commission. So the gym was basically unusable for me.

The room was perfect! Easily fit our family of five. Lots of room to stretch at night, close to everything in Ely, and the staff was superb. Best continental breakfast I’ve had in years. The biscuits and gravy were enjoyed by my boys. The pool was clean and no one used it when we went down 3 times which was great! Definitely staying here again next trip!
