Not to be repeated, ever.

This place shouldn't really be classified as a hotel, it's old and decrepit, the reception when we arrived was inaccessible, we weren't given any information by email on how to access it and the lady who eventually opened the door only spoke French so we interpreted various codes to access the lift, the front door and the room. The furnishings are anything from 20-40 years old, the room was beyond basic with no air conditioning and upon leaving the window open to be able to sleep all we could hear all night long was the TV from the vitual restaurant downstairs (3 floors down) that is open for people to pay minimum €10 for microwave meals that you heat and eat yourself. There is no comfort to be had here - I mistakingly believed some of the better reviews but please don't and give this place a wide berth - stay anywhere else. We did find a lovely restaurant within the town which was good for a Sunday evening but the hotel we could have done without. Just to say even access to the pool is strange, you have to walk out the front door, onto the Main Street, round the corner, past piles of rubble and rubbish and dog mess and through a garden into a pool that we had to Clean ourselves. A strange terrible place.

Personne a l'accueil, code entrée, ascenseur, accÚs étage, ça ressemble à une prison,et seul la nuit, et une chambre avec des cafards noires environ 2cm ,j'en ai écraser 1,rideaux qui ne tiens plus,etc,les extérieurs ne sont pas bien entretenus,hÎtel qui se dégrade, pour ma part, je déconseille

Expérience trÚs décevante

Nous avons Ă©tĂ© extrĂȘmement déçu par cet hĂŽtel Tout d’abord il faut expliquer qu’il n’y a pas de personnel sur place; toute les consignes d’installation sont donnĂ©es par texto avec les codes nĂ©cessaires. À notre arrivĂ©e, la chambre dĂ©signĂ©e n’avait pas Ă©tĂ© faite! Nous avons donc appelĂ© la personne de garde qui nous a donnĂ© un autre code pour une chambre plus grande mais vieillotte Le lendemain nous sommes descendus Ă  9h pour le petit dĂ©jeuner que nous avions rĂ©servĂ©; la salle Ă©tait fermĂ© Ă  clef! Nous avons retĂ©lĂ©phonĂ© Ă  la personne de garde qui nous a dit qu’il n’avait pas eu l’info et que il allait faire venir quelqu’un pour le prĂ©parer mais qu’il y en avait au moins pour 1h. Nous ne pouvions attendre tout ce temps, nous avons demandĂ© le remboursement du petit dĂ©jeuner non pris; comme nĂŽtre rĂ©servation avait Ă©tĂ© faite sur « hĂŽtel.com » il nous a dit de faire la rĂ©clamation sur leur site; chose qui a Ă©tĂ© faite. La rĂ©ponse de « hĂŽtel.com « aprĂšs contact avec le responsable de l’hĂŽtel c’est que nous avions eu droit Ă  un petit dĂ©jeuner buffet ????? Et que nous avions Ă©tĂ© surclassĂ©s pour la chambre non prĂȘte. Établissement Ă  fuir absolument car sans parler des prestations non fournies, la non reconnaissance des erreurs commises par le responsable reste inadmissible. Tout ça pour la modique somme de 99€!!!!!

Une Ă©tape trĂšs satisfaisante

Au vu des commentaires, j'ai hĂ©sitĂ© Ă  m'arrĂȘter aux Portes du Cantal. Vieillot ? je dirais ancien et peut-ĂȘtre un peu kitsch mais cela ne dĂ©range en rien le confort. Les fondamentaux plus rarement respectĂ©s qu'on ne le pense sont respectĂ©s. Ma chambre Ă©tait au calme, cĂŽtĂ© piscine. Mon sommeil lĂ©ger n'a pas bronchĂ©. Et il faisait nuit. Un volet roulant automatique (vieillot ?) vous offre un noir complet comme je les aime. Mais si on prĂ©fĂšre une lĂ©gĂšre luminositĂ©, il y a aussi un rideau... Petit dĂ©jeuner simple mais efficace. HĂŽte et hĂŽtesse avenants. En rĂ©sumĂ©, un bon sĂ©jour et si je repasse par lĂ , ce sera mon Ă©tape.
