APA hotel in an old building, only one elevator so expect to wait, friendly staff, parking discount when using the parking station across the road overnight, very noisy district due to girly bars behind the hotel, 10 mins walk to Marugame Station and Marugame Castle.

A couple on Christmas vacation

We stayed at this hotel for one night between Christmas and New Year's. The room was a little cold, because the window was open slightly at first. We shut the window, but it was still letting in some cold air. The parking area is a garage across the street from the hotel. It isn't free, but it's close to the castle entrance and it was convenient to leave the car there as we explored the area. The breakfast was ok, but not the best you'll eat. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful and guided us on where to see the castle at night, and we were able to get some great pictures of the castle at night thanks to his advice.

Stayed four nights. I had a corner room. I didn't think all noises are coming from hotel guests. It was from drunk people outside late at night. Yes, I am talking around 2 am, the bars closing time. Happened every night I stayed. Bathroom was smallest I've seen. However nice people at reception desk and breakfast buffet attendants made up the flaw. Enjoyed breakfast every morning. I didn't have time to use onsen?big bath tub? I had a hard time adjusting the faucet though. May be it was just me.
