Lovely secluded cabin on VAST trail in VT's "Land of Lakes and Ponds"

Falls Cabin is a rustic hunting camp lovingly transformed into a beautiful, year-round vacation cabin retreat. Tucked in the woods alongside Kingsbury Brook's cascading falls, it is the perfect place to return to after a Vermont day outdoors, any time of year. The cabin has a large eat-in kitchen with a spiral staircase to the loft, a spacious living room with propane stove, two bedrooms each with internet TV and a full bathroom. The individual mini-split heat pumps in each room provide custom air conditioning in summer. In winter, enjoy the warmth of the propane stove in the living room in addition to the heat from the mini-split units.

Enjoy your morning coffee on the large back deck before heading out for your adventure, no matter what the season. Falls Cabin has direct access to VAST trail system for snowmobiling in winter and nearby access to VASA trails for 4-wheeling in summer. We have ample parking for trailers. There are trails for mountain biking right from Falls Cabin and hiking trails are also nearby. Stowe, Smuggler's Notch, Burke Mountain, and Bolton Valley ski areas are all one hour or less away. Enjoy fishing, kayaking, canoeing, boating, and swimming in one (or all) of the many lakes in Woodbury - Vermont's "land of lakes and ponds" as well as ice fishing in the winter. Relaxing around the firepit is a great way to end the day any time of year!

Very impressed with the landscape! Wasn't a good time to go just because it rained all 3 days but there wouldn't be another cabin I'd rather have been at. Very clean! Manager was very informative!. Nice warm fireplace inside. Had it not rained we would have been able to light a fire outside while listening to the stream that's literally in your backyard. Very impressed with Vermont. Very impressed with the property. Thank you very much!

The sound and view of the brook next to the house was our favorite part of our stay. Incredibly peaceful and tucked away but with easy access to the highway to grab essentials in Hardwick or at the general store in East Calais.

Such a cozy cabin and some amazing trails right behind for exploring by yourself or with dogs. Loved the open floor plan and the loft area, much bigger than anticipated. Had an amazing stay and look forward to renting it again. 10/10 recommend in the winter, can only imagine how it is in the summer.

Amazing all around!!

We cannot say enough about this cabin and location. The cabin itself is beautiful, super clean, and stocked with everything… kitchen cookware, utensils, towels, toilet paper, and even firewood for the fire pit outside. There was even a fully decorated Christmas tree waiting for us in the living room. The cabin itself is surrounded by beautiful land, very private. The WiFi was choppy at times which made it hard for our son to play video games, but for the rest of us, it was not a big deal. Diane, the property manager was super nice and very helpful anytime we needed something. We already have our next trip booked at this cabin. It was a trip we will never forget.

Best vacation ever

Diane presented us, my husband, myself, our daughter and her husband, a dream vacation. Everything was even better in person than the pictures, if you can believe it. This is a picturesque home with everything you could want in a secluded wooded paradise inclusive of the sound of waterfalls. Book this place if you ever get a chance.

Beautiful Property, Adorable Cabin!

The property itself is gorgeous, with a very nice and communicative host. We loved it and wished we were staying more nights than just one. It sleeps 8 but does have only one bathroom, so definitely plan accordingly if you have a larger group. There is no cell service in the area so be sure to screenshot the emails & directions ahead of time -- GPS may not take you to the right place. We made this mistake and had to drive back to Hardwick to contact the host and figure out where we went wrong! Highly recommend and we will bring our kiddos back for a longer stay on our next trip.

This house was the perfect landing to explore the northeast kingdom! Comfortable, plenty of space, clean, and a beautiful brook behind the house. We really enjoyed sitting by the fire pit with the sound of the brook. Would stay here again!!

Loved this cabin!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cabin. From the photos and the setting, we were expecting something a little rustic, but this cabin is anything but that. It has top of the line appliances and is spotlessly clean. Beds are very comfortable and lots of entertainment. What we enjoyed most was the quiet tranquility of the backyard fire pit and small stream just a few feet away. We stopped for just one night but would have enjoyed a whole week there. The hosts communicated well but were not intrusive. Would highly recommend this place.

Great stay

We were pleasantly surprised that the house was so much bigger then it appeared on line. It is however very secluded and its pitch black outdside in the evening and on a long dirt road. The couch is definitely broken in but comfortably. Overall we had a great stay.
