It is recommended that you have a 4 Wheel Drive vehicle in the winter months from December to March. The property is on a dirt road, and while the roads are plowed/scraped often - there is a potential for icy road conditions.

Wolf Laurel is a Mountain gated Community in Mars Hill, NC. It has access to Wolf Ridge Ski Resort, the Appalachian Trail, Horseback riding, and more!
Free parking on-site, can likely fit 3 or 4 cars. Trail access to the Appalachian Trail is less than a mile from the property. Wolf Ridge ski resort is less than a mile away. Wolf Laurel Amenities, stocked Trout Pond, Tennis & Pickle Ball Courts, and Clubhouse with Library and weekly events less than a mile away. Ask your host about weekly activities during the time of your stay. Bucktown Stables with 1 & 2-hour trail rides available - Ask your host about scheduling.
Situated at 4,500-feet, the Mountain Chalet offers guests convenient access to Wolf Ridge Ski Resort (located at the bottom of the mountain). Access to the Scenic Wolf community pool (open seasonally in the summer months - provides a fun warm-weather activity.

2-acre wooded property with A-Frame house backs up to protected woodlands, very quiet and peaceful. Panoramic views of Big Bald and Blue Ridge Mtns. You'll appreciate the convenience of being able to cook your own meals in the fully equipped kitchen and eat-in while on vacation.

Important Property Notes
• Travel Insurance is Recommended. Due to the location of this home, any inclement weather in winter may render it unreachable. We highly recommend guests consider travelers insurance for this property as there are no refunds for weather.

• 4WD/AWD Required in Winter - During the winter months and inclement weather, a 4WD/AWD vehicle is required to access this property. Please ensure your vehicle has sufficient clearance (i.e. SUV, Truck, or raised sedan). Low-clearance vehicles with 4WD/AWD are not recommended. For the extra effort, however, you are rewarded with seclusion, beauty, and a lot of fun just getting there!

• Noise Ordinance
The Mountain Chalet is located in a quiet neighborhood with a very low noise tolerance. A noise ordinance is in effect between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m and a noise level monitor is in use in the home.
• This property is located one mile from the Scenic Wolf cabin community and swimming pool (in season).
