Cozy and comfortable

Beds were amazing, breakfast was great, and overall it felt like home. Just a warm inviting atmosphere. Loved you could fountain soda and coffee all day during your stay.

We arrived at the hotel at 2:40pm...check-in time was 3pm. We were told that our room was currently being cleaned and would be available in 20 minutes. We said that's fine and had a drink on the patio. Checked with the front desk at 3:10pm, room still not available. 3:30pm, not available. Front desk told us we could call the manager as she doesn't have the power to change rooms. Called the GM and the call goes directly to the front desk. Finally got in our room at 4pm. I personally checked on the room and it was available long before 4pm so I'm not sure if it was the front desk or cleaning staff that deserves the blame. GM was going to call us to make things right...we checked in on Sunday, today is Tuesday and still nothing. We weren't the only customers that had to wait, but our wait time was triple to next closest person. That being said, facilities were great. Outdoor patio was very nice. Breakfast was better than expected.

We stayed at several motels/hotels during our 12-day vacation in the UP and this one was by far the best. The staff is excellent. We enjoyed an evening “social” with complimentary food and drinks as well as a very nice breakfast bar. The location is close to downtown/lake attractions. Super nice place.

Staff and property were excellent. Centrally located to downtown Marquette. M-W they offer a social hour with food and drink. Beds were comfortable and rooms were modern. Will stay again next time we are in UP.
