This place had nothing goi g for it other than the staff. Doesn't look like carpet or anything else has been fixed or updated since built. Door stick so all you hear are doors slamming every time someone goes in and out of their room, which seemed like every other minute. Can hear every conversation in hall and next door. Worst stay we have ever had.

Horrible

This was the worst night of my entire trip! The room really need a lot off attention, it was disgusting! The only reason I didn't leave is because I was dead tired and there was nothing else available. At midnight, two employees woke me up because they were in the room next to mine and they didn't care for the guests that were sleeping. They were slamming doors constantly and talking so loud that I had to ask them to be quiet. Horrible experience.

Room was clean and great except for ripped, filthy, uncomfortable, no pillowed sofa bed. Pleased with stay but told them bathrooms off breakfast area out of toilet paper and several closed stalls. Was told they only owned building 3 months...no attempt to fill toilet rolls. Breakfast good...pleasant staff. Should be nice place to stay once improvements made. Would stay again, but not with sofa bed.

Overall, I’d rate this space an alright place to stay along your travels through Ontario. There isn’t much selection around the motel location if you’re looking for food/restaurants etc, although it seemingly is located right by a grocery store and A&W, unfortunately I didn’t have the opportunity to explore the nature and scenery (so I cannot rate based on that). The place isn’t well sound proofed so I could hear pretty well everything happening in the hallways outside my room. The furniture and space is very outdated, but also has plenty of furniture which makes eating/watching tv, lounging very simple. My room was equipped with a Roku for the Tv which made streaming easy for the evening. The a.c was not the greatest but it was indeed an option. Minor things like the side table lamp did not work, and the mini fridge froze the food I had kept inside. The bathroom was full bath (shower, bathtub, toilet and sink)… which is nice. Staff was friendly and straight forward. I cannot complain but I also wouldn’t call the experience great, especially not for the price.

This is something you would choose when you were 18-19 years old. Cheap and inexpensive. Leaves a lot to be desired . Enough said

Adequate

Clean and comfortable and one of the more economical properties in Marathon. But it is a bit run down and in need of major refurbishment. The room was well appointed with fridge, coffee maker, microwave. The simplest thing management could do to make the place look better is to clean up the garden at the entrance. It is all weeds and makes the place look like an abandoned dump. An afternoon of work could bring in some flowers or shrubs and make the place look attractive.

They didn't say it was under new management or that they are renovating it. Having said that, there weren't enough electric plugs, the wall under the a/c needed repairs, mold on the window sill, although there is a restaurant attached it's not functioning. BUT the bed was very comfortable, new bed linen, nice clean smell when I entered my room, new shower curtains, also a hot bkfst was available but only from 0600 to 0900. Front desk staff very helpful. Overall rate 3.5 on 10 as they're still renovating.
