The apartment has beautiful sea and mountain views and is within easy walking distance of the many bars and restaurants situated within the marina. Located within 10 minutes drive of 8 championship golf courses (including Valderrama), it is ideal for both family and sporting holidays. The apartment is in the prestigious Marina de La Duquesa complex on the Costa del Sol. The private gated complex is right on the beach front with four private pools, a sauna, tennis court and small gym and is set in beautiful tropical gardens. There is a designated secure parking space beneath the complex and lift access to all floors. Duquesa Marina is one of the prettiest and unspoilt marinas on the Costa Del Sol. There is good access from both Gibraltar (20 miles) and Malaga (50 miles) via both coastal and toll roads. Gibraltar, Selwo National African Theme Park, the millionaires playground of Puerto Banus, Estepona and the famous Andalucian white villages in the hills are all a short drive away.

Puerto De la Duquesa

As expected having stayed at the Resort before.Our apartment was clean and tidy.Key homes were very attentive and quick to sort a problem with washing machine.Also rang us before we arrived and when leaving his name is Jack.Pleased to say owner again replied to anything we asked.Would recommend VRBO to anyone over and above Air b&b.Would book again and looking to book later in the year.

Disappointed and would never stay at this complex again

Two primary reasons we chose this apartment and the complex, it was advertised as being wheelchair accessible and it has a heated pool. Wrong on both counts neither the apartment or the complex is wheelchair accessible and they haven't had a heated pool on site for over 10yrs. On arrival at the apartment without writing chapter and verse all I will say is I found urine stains on the duvets which aside from that disgusting state they were so old they were grey not white and the filling had clumped together. The best place for them was the bin as they were not fit to be used, other highlights included a toilet brush covered in faeces and a shower head so covered in limescale the shower just dripped a small amount of water. The beds themselves were like childrens beds of many years ago given the style and very very poor quality. I have a spinal condition and couldn't even get low enough to try to sleep on them. The whole environment just felt dirty dusty and full of years old furnishings. On contacting the owners agent Key Home Services they were totally indifferent and if I had been unable to track down a phone number for the owner no doubt would have been left to get on with it. So to be fair to the owner he arranged with his agent for another apartment to be found which wasn't his but was a vastly superior apartment. However even this wasn't accessible, I know UK laws are different to Spainish laws on access but if you say someplace is wheelchair accessible then you need to be certain of your information. My wheelchair just about fitted into the front door and main living room. However, the complex itself is a nightmare for a wheelchair user an example if you are an adult you likely can cope without your carer as you go up in the lift but if its a child user then you may find that there isn't enough room for both the child and carer with a wheelchair. With a 4th floor complex that should be addressed by the complex management. It seems the minor point to the rest but for the second week we had the sounds of workmen drilling banging and general building repair noises. By this point we had decided not to let anything get to us so we didn't bother mentioning this. But for those who were just arriving I know one family were less than pleased at being woken up to this and of course it stopped afternoon for siesta and began early evening. So my advice visit Duquesa as its a lovely place rent a car with Diamond they were amazing but stay elsewhere

Perfect Location

Spacious apartment, clean and well equipped, perfect location being right by the beach and a 2 minute walk to the port, where there are lots of fab restaurants and bars. Grounds and pool areas where the apartment is located are very tidy, thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

Very clean and tidy apartment close to all amenities

Unfortunately the weather was unusually wet on my weeks visit. However the apartment was in excellent order and very clean and tidy. Everything required for comfort was available and the fact the apartment was only a 5 minute walk to the port for food and drink was a huge bonus considering the weather
