Initially given a room which had a strong smell of cigarette smoke, but pleased to say we were able to be moved to a nicer room once we informed staff of the problem. Breakfast was very nice.

Great location, interesting old building, big room, big and comfortable bed. Air con and bathroom extractor fan not working, window wouldn't stay open without propping either. Wouldn't be good in summer. Stayed here 6 years ago and liked it, feels like no maintenance since then. Shower head loose, general wear and tear taking its toll, looking a bit shabby in places. Plants growing from the outside of the building isn't a great look!

Good location close to Piccadilly train station. Arndale shopping 10 min walk. Bars and restaurants nearby. Large room with nice toiletries. A/C did not work, Dyson type fan in the room. Windows did not open. Extra plug sockets hidden behind a large free standing mirror. The room door did not fit properly and had to force it close. The towel rail only had heat at the bottom.
