Accommodation in Maedo

Unfortunately, you won't find many accommodations in central Maedo. That said, Wotif offers 6 alternative options, all less than 30 kilometres away.

Attractions and Hotels Near Maedo

Don't skedaddle before checking out what you can discover in the wider region of South Jeolla. South Jeolla is blessed with beaches, coastal plains, rivers and mountains, as well as common South Jeolla destinations like the castles, traditional villages and old towns. In this region of South Korea, visitors can also try mountain climbing, hiking and picnicking.

If you want to explore some close by cities, consider Mokpo and Tanggadu. Travel 20 kilometres to the east of Maedo and you'll discover Mokpo. Alternatively, Tanggadu is 25 kilometres to the east. Accommodations in Mokpo are the Hotel New Evergreen and Fontana Beach Hotel. The Breakfast at Tiffany's and 500th Hotel are some of the better ones in Tanggadu.

Before your Maedo trip comes to an end, why not spend an hour or two rubbing shoulders and cheering along with local sports enthusiasts at a local sporting fixture? Guus Hiddink Stadium is found to the northeast of Maedo. To stay close by, secure a room at the Holiday Inn Gwangju or the Ramada Plaza Gwangju.

I don’t usually write reviews, but Heritage Hotel is one of the best hotels I have stayed at. It felt new and comfortable. The room was spacious and clean. Lots of space for luggage. The beds were comfortable with extra pillows. Wonderful bathroom (with bidet) and shower with all extra amenities (shampoo, body wash, toothbrush, comb, razor, etc.). The BIGGEST television I have ever seen. The staff were friendly and helpful. The beds were made and extra towels provided. Free coffee (Americano, vanilla latte, mocha), water, and ice in the lobby. More water in the mini fridge. We stayed for 5 days, so what was fabulous was that there was onsite washer and dryer (free with detergent and dryer sheets). Heritage Hotel is also conveniently across the street from the Lotte Maxx (think Costco), so if you need to explain to a taxi driver where your hotel is located, tell them that. The hotel is also walking distance from restaurants and the Peace Park on the waterfront. The only small disappointment was the included breakfast (eggs, toast, cereal, bananas) which was offsite (and you had to get a breakfast ticket for each morning). But honestly, we got such an amazing deal through Hotels.com. So thankfully we stayed at the Heritage Hotel. Highly recommend!
