Loved the design of the villa and the layout of the resort. Staff were all nice and friendly. Staff dropped us off with a club car at the elephant park next to the resort and we walked back after having some good time with the beautiful animals. Breakfast was good and the two pools were very big. I booked our stay just before our stay as I wasn’t really impressed by the pics here, especially the pool. It turned out to be a very beautiful resort to stay for a while. Yes for next time.

Loved it!

This is a beautiful property, paradise! The surroundings are quiet and peaceful. The staff are friendly and helpful. Our bungalow was clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic place! Lovely staff; everyone very kind and helpful. Lots to do around and it’s easy to get a car at the hotel. Some of the amenities are not working though, like the jacuzzi or the treadmill

Staff were friendly and helpful. Jacuzzi didn't work ,& looked like it had been out of order for a very long time. The poolside bar was closed - again not used for a long time. Our first cottage was unacceptable as it smelt strongly of sewage, so we were moved after complaining. Prices for food & drink very high. No shelf in the shower - had fallen off ages ago so had to put shower gel/ shampoo etc on the floor. Place was almost empty for first 2 says! Expensive ecperience gor what you get. Wouldn't recommend it.

Not a comfortable hotel

The hotel was very big but a bit old. Room is very very spacious but there was not water basin in toilet. Bath room was on the other side of the room. After taking batch, the whole room would be all wet the whole day. Very strange design. Not comfortable at all.

Jungle paradise

This place is amazing! It is about and hour outside of Chiang Mai so if your ok paying about $30 to get into the city this place is great. It is also within 5 minutes of the Elephant Nature Park which is the non-abusive elephant sanctuary. There is also an elephant park right next door, sadly, this is the type that exploits elephants. This spa was great as welll!

Perfect hotel for relaxing!

Nice view. Recommend for family or couple trip. In the morning you can see elephant in the Ping River. It’s so adorable and hotel provides free bicycle for traveling in hotel. So comfy and I definitely go back to stay at Sibsan again Just one thing, staff at hotel restaurant is not good as expectation he’s quite unfriendly and the menu price is quite expensive. You’d better have dinner outside hotel.

Elegance at a reasonable price.

Helpful staff. Beautiful, exceptionally well cared for lanscaping. Just one problem— when room card is removed, all power shuts down- including air conditioning. So the choice is sleep with lights on with air conditioning or turn all off and awaken when it gets too hot. Nonetheless it was a wonderful spot that I would certainly recommend to others.

Outer skirt of chiang mai resort

This resort is an hour an twenty minutes away from downtown Chiang Mai. If you like privacy and enjoy the non business of the city life. This is the resort for you. Their restaurant is over priced. The food is average quality and not four stars. You can have better food in downtown chiang mai or from steer vendors. Their free breakfast, however is pretty good. Lastly, I didn't get the villa/room I had upgraded.

There's really nothing much to do in the Resort apart from chilling. The Resort was nice and quiet but sadly I think we've got multiple bites in the room. Not sure if it was mosquito bites or skin allergy but that made the stay slightly less pleasant.

Travelling as a Couple

Very friendly, helpful staff and great customer service. Loved the entire grounds and the fact that there were bicycles for guests to sign out and ride around the resort. A great place to relax and unwind. Also very convenient to visit the Maetaeng Elephant Park next door. Room and grounds were very well cleaned and maintained. There was always staff maintaining the grounds. Felt very safe in the location with security present. Loved being able to see the elephants pass by all day long with our river view villa. Also very much enjoyed the spa experience as the technician did a great job and was very professional. We arranged our transfer back to the airport with Sibsan and because we had to leave before breakfast they were kind enough to arrange a breakfast box to go. We were very impressed by this and appreciated the thought.

Great Resort

I love this place!! A unique place, nice room good set up. Big pools and love the service. Food is super excellent here. Dinne was great, breakfast was awesome! The add on for the coffee shop was amazing.

Don't get me wrong, it's a nice place, super quiet, beautiful pools. But service is inconsistent and rooms are not equipped as shown. I booked a superior with a large bed and tub. When I got there, it was: Sorry your room doesn't have a tub and we just push the two twin beds together to make a big bed. (Well, I don't like falling in the crack every time I need to hug my lady.) "Oh, sorry, room with tub and one big bed is 500 baht more a night." Alright, let's do that. Hmm, then no iron or ironing board, 3 hangers, no DVD player and amusingly low water pressure... wait for it, wait for it... the hot water I mean. There's also a nice set of instructions as to using the tub. Something like this: "Water heater is shared by two villas, so fill the tub halfway with COLD water and then add hot to your comfort level." Okay, so what about the food? Certainly Chiang Mai food is not as hot as Issan or Phuket, but I think this food has been cooled down for the tourists. The breakfast is nice and the folks that work the breakfast are kind. But the dinners are sort of bland. On one occasion, my pad thai goong had only 2 shrimp. I didn't have to pay for it, but? Yes, you can go down to the river and see the elephants and that is great, but beware if you rent a room down that way, you're going to hear the PA announcements for the elephant show and the construction that is going on down there. They call it an elephant sanctuary, but it looks more like an elephant riding business, you decide.
