The room was clean. However, it was a very hot day and the air conditioning did not cool the room, even when left overnight. There were some strange features like a hugely oversized head board and a tiny television. One end of the room was painted black. Lots of attempts at style but felt that this is at the expense of the usefulness, like tiny side bedlamps which were only lit if the whole headboard was lit up too. Breakfast was mediocre. Shame as the staff were all lovely.

We chose the hotel for proximity to the MECC. Great location, parking isn't included in the price. The lobby was very pleasant and had plenty of seating. The rooms are very dated and need a makeover. TV was very small and only had a couple of channels working. We tried to get some food in the evening to take back to our room following a long and tiring day, we waited over an hour for a simple dish. The staff were fabulous but the system is not working to support them.
