Sylvie was a wonderful host! She made us breakfast each morning and we had fun conversations while we enjoyed breakfast. She was warm and welcoming and immediately felt at ease when we arrived in Lyon. She’s located right in Old Lyon and if you continue walking up the hill from her house you can see a magnificent view of the city. I highly recommend a stay with Sylvie if you want a true local experience.

Towards the end of a 2 1/2 week visit to France and Switzerland, this room, which is a single room within a house owned and managed by the proprietor, was a complete surprise. Far and away the best accommodation of my vacation. I was a solo traveler, but this room would also be great for 2.

Great stay in old Lyon

We had a lovely 2 night stay at Chez Sylvie, everything was perfect. As many have said previously, Sylvie is a fabulous host and really enjoys having people stay at her bed and breakfast. Great location in the old town of Lyon, and the steep hill really gets the heart racing! What an amazing city, so much to see and especially the beautiful Basilica at the top of the hill overlooking the city!

One of our favorite bed and breakfasts ever

Sylvie's BnB is absolutely amazing. We have done a lot of world travel, and Sylvie's place is unmatched. Her service is amazing and the room is exceptional. The location is central to many places in Vieux Lyon, making it very walkable. Sylvie is a spectacular host.

Sylvie was a delight to be with and so very welcoming and helpful. The room was lovely and fresh, with good views, good amenities, and a powerful shower. If I have the chance to come back, I would stay here again, not only for the room, but for Sylvie herself.

The property is beautiful and the view from the room is amazing. Sylvie is a wonderful hostess and strives to make your stay memorable. You do need to be in reasonable shape to walk the hill to get there, as well as to climb the stone stairs to the room. Given that, the short walk to shopping and restaurants makes the hill well worth it!

Comfortable accommodation in 'Le Vieux Lyon'

I loved this B&B, which is in an interesting old house, well situated in 'Le Vieux Lyon'. The room was very comfortable and well equipped and it was very quiet. Sylvie and her husband are very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is served in their lovely kitchen/ dining room. There are lots of good restaurants close by. I would definitely recommend this accommodation.

We spent three wonderful nights in Sylvie's place. The room was big and airy with a good bathroom and a jacuzzi. Very nice breakfast every morning at a time of our choosing. I need gluten- and lactose-free food, and that was not a problem. We really recommend this place.
